I believe that we (living things in this planet) are like bacteria in human organism. Planet is like a "blood cell" and universe the "organism". I believe that we are here to keep this organism running. Obviously I can go into a more detail and this is based on nothing but my own "thinking" so yeah...

More of an natural & agnostic point of view here.

This is a very interesting way of thinking about it. I have given this thought aswell, along with that our whole world may be programmed. Not as in matrix but as in we are living in a virtual world so everything we know, our whole physical world and ourselves are being generated by something. If this was true there are endless possibilites of how the world outside ours is.

I am an Atheist but I personally favour Islam over any other.

I like Islam and it's way with alcohol. I really think we would all be better of without alcohol in our society.

That worked really well when America banned alcohol.

The banning of alcohol in Islam is hardly the central focus.

I'm not saying "Ban alcohol" nor do I believe that will happen in many, many centuries if it will happen at all. I guess it's kinda like wishing for world peace or something.

What happened in the US when they tried banning alcohol was because people love alcohol too much, not because it's good in anyway.

Ofcourse, but then what is the central focus with any religion? Peace, acceptance and salvation, no?

Maybe the implementation was flawed. Or the punishments were too lenient. The war on drugs isn't really working, do you think we should legalize drugs?

Prohibition did give rise to the Kennedy as a political force and the Mafia. But no we shouldn't legalize all drugs but im all for Medical Marijuana and its decriminalization.

Yes, can certainly make a topic about it but I wont. Also Tom Cruise is everywhere, he's in this thread right now because Scientology was mentioned. He's watching.
