After listening to the War Room Podcast I figured that this should be a forum topic. 1. The Thing 2. The Shining 3. Evil Dead 4. Dawn of the Dead 5. The Exorcist
1.Scream(all of them) 2.Silence of the lambs(original) 3.Halloween 4.Nightmare on Elm Street(the first one ever made) 5. Friday the 13th(the sequel when Jason was first introduced.) In general I treat Horror movies like any other Genre, if the movie of that particular Genre has a good plot, motive, character development, and the setting makes sense, I consider it a good movie, however Horror movies today is just about some supernatural/normal being killing for god knows why like the Saw series.
1. wolf creek (did wonders for our tourism industry) 2. MLP: friendship is magic 3. arachnid 4. rogue (again, did wonders for our tourism industry) 5. dog soldiers
The scream movies are a joke imo. In all honesty I don't really like horror movies very much at all, most of them are so generic. But then there are these psychological horror masterpieces that I haven't seen, ofcourse.
Saw Paranormal Activity Child's Play (Chucky scared the shit out of me when i was little) The Exorcist Alien Don't you dare yell at me.
I can't pull a top five list up right now, so I'll just throw up a list of a bunch that I liked in no real order. -The Host (Korean monster movie, watch it in Korean w/ English subtitles for best effect) -Aliens -The Mist That's all that comes to mind right now.
1. Insidious (it's not a classic but it scared the everliving bejeezus out of me) 2. Carrie (Stephen King) 3. Amityville Horror (The original) 4. The Hills Have Eyes 5. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (The Original)
