And what you silly commies fall to realize is that capitalism and its various forms are simply applications of the price system.

The left (in the context of the political base-line) needs to stop living in the past and get its shit in order.

That doesn't make any sense. Britain has compulsory education.

Did you really just say that? Seriously?

And Demon, you fool, the price system is the most important trait of any economic system that isn't rooted in fantasy.

That is why i left it vague, i'm not going to discuss what happened in the early stages of my life, like i said, it wouldn't be fair on my behalf. You would never understand the situation i went through in my life.

Well whatever, that doesn't excuse you from being a native English speaker. As well, you go to high school (or whatever the British equivalent is) now, so you are held to the same standards as any other student. Naturally everyone should be expected to have at the very least a basic understand of their native language.

Assuming you mean the statist "socialist" regimes as socialist. Then they're working examples of the DotP not communism.

I mean any kind of communism that isn't based on a gift economy.

I am calling an end to the victimization running rampant here, Kali is going to harass you for making several stupid errors. I don't care if you have autism or whatever mental illness makes you unable to know what is and is not a proper noun. You people need to take it like a man and stop bitching.

No, but as a movement that draws its creation from certain conditions within the price system it too fails when it comes to the question of "value".
How can I be paid according to my labor in a society of constantly evolving labor-saving devices? And before you bring up the gift economy, tell me; if we have reached a point where scarcity is no more and such a system is possible, why bother with communism? Why not abandon all those tired old economic systems and the conditions they were created in?

*No one going to point out Kali double post except me??? But i support a mixture of the two economic models tough if i had to pick one of the two sides i would go with Socialism.

If we eliminate scarcity then I am right there with you Demon, but the elimination of scarcity is only, y'know, the most difficult thing to accomplish ever.

Maybe a singularity will prove us all wrong and point out some solution that seems really obvious in hindsight, but our policy shouldn't be predicated on the capability of science to provide us with a greater-than-human intelligence and no regular folks have the answer to scarcity.

EDIT: It's not a double post, Viking. Soviet deleted his post in between mine.
