    @ Comrade Temuzu
    Terrible, terrible.
    LOL. Have you actually seen the original movie? It is nowhere near the U.S. Remember Rasczak? 'This year, we explored the failure of democracy. How the social scientists brought our world to the brink of chaos. We talked about the verterans; how they took control, and imposed the stability that has lasted for generations since...'

    And have you seen the dress? Nowhere near what the U.S. does. More like facists...

    Megan Fox is indeed over-rated.

    @Imperial1917

    Ah, sorry 'bout that. I wasnt really talking about America, I was just pointing out how in Bay's movies patrionism is quite visible. My bad. I also dont see how a dress can be fascist, except if its covered in swastikas (Or whatever the Italian fascist symbol was).

    Go to Youtube, type in 'Hitler rallies', watch video. Now compare the dress to the ones in Starship Troopers. There is a clear connection. Even Kali noticed it.

    I can understand that the uniforms may have been influenced by the fascist outfits, but I still dont think you can really connect a piece of clothing to an ideology without insignias and such. For example, with that logic the Finnish uniform during WW2 means that we Finns were in fact nazis. Which I highly doubt was the case, even though the Germans were out comrades-in-arms.

    Just out of curiosity [this may or may not have a weight in this 'pro-facsism clothing?' debate, have you read the book?

    Unfortunately my interest in the series ended after Marauder (The third movie?), so I never bothered reading the actual books although it would logically be way better than the movie. If theres something about the clothing on the books, do share.

    The second and third movies... never watched them, but heard that they were ****.
    The first movie is great, but it doesn't actually follow the book. The book and the movie are great in their own rights. The writer of the book, Robert A. Heinlein, is credited for [in the writing of the book] envisioning everything from powered armor to drop pods. If you like science fiction, I highly recommend it, along with Ender's Game.

    If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The first was just fine. Campy, Ken and Barbie join the Nazi Party, sci-fi mish-mash stuff. Leave it as it is.

    Starship Troopers was a terrible movie that missed the point of the novel ENTIRLY.
    Pro Tip: Never get a pacifist to make you a movie with an activly warring society in it.

    The argument is commonly that it did not actually follow the book, so they should do a remake.

    Personally, both were great [book and movie] in their own rights, and I see no reason for a remake.
