"Occupy" Superthread

Well apparently Occupy London (Ontario) elected a leader and is coming up with solutions. We just need the rest of them to do that.

What is the solution?

Right now cooperatives will probably change.

I have to say, I will be impressed if they can pull it off.

I feel i should go down to London and protest. Next march against Torys in Manchester I am down there.

Finally the occupy movement is doing something specific, and it's something I agree with. I can now spread more than 30 seconds at this protest in the local art fare.

Lenin Cat brought up an interesting point to me earlier. Cops have killed people (Including two US military vets), brutalized others, and left some in a permanent critical condition (Also including another Vet who is now brain damaged). This is apparently justified. Protestors break some windows = Extremist terrorism!

I don't have a full list, but I do know they have killed two US Military vets. One in Denver, and the other in Oakland. I'll see if I can find the stories.

I edited a video into my reply. It isn't one of the guys who died, but it's still fucked up.

If someone has been killed then I think it would be pretty big news.

And wasn't the vet who was hit in the head hit by a gas canister just fired into the crowd, and not shot directly at him as an individual?

Personally, I don't think the corporations that control the media would want to make it a story. All it does is help rally more people against them. In other words - The Media is being censored.

I think it is more than a logical deducation to make that the media would be censored. Would you go down the street wearing a shirt that reads 'I rape children'?

It's the corporations MMMAAANNNN! They control our minds MMMAAAANNNN!

But seriously, under that logic why would they cover the protests in the first place. And with a little thing called the internet the stories would get around.

Edit- Also I would like to know how you got the stories of the people being killed if the media is censored.
