The army grew stronger? lol this is news to me. Since the days after Constantine the army was a shell of its passed glory. In other words it was pathetic.

The army was smaller because of the CIVIL WARS IN ITALY. They end of the Western Roman Empire was like the end of the republic. The army was very advanced for it's time and could have defeated the "barbarians" quite easily. The barbarians get to much credit for the fall of Rome.

The army was not advanced at that time. After Constantine, the army was poorly equipped, malnourished, and most of the menn fighting were Germans who pushed and settled into Roman occupied Gaul. (and no they were not slaves). Can you please tell me the last MAJOR slave rebellion that had any effect on the Roman Empire because as far as I have researched, the last major slave rebellion was Spartacus which was a little over 500 years before the empire in the west finally collapsed.

There was a couple minor ones here and there, but when you compare the Roman army to what it used to be yeah it looked like a bunch of malnourished Germans fighting with wooden swords.

Exactly. And while it could still hold their own against barbarians under a good commander (if they brought all thier forces together which at this time they were so spread out on the border that was impossible), the problem was they had no competent commanders minus Aetius who was killed by the corrupt emperor.

You honestly think there weren't slave rebellions. There have been slave rebellions since the dawn of time until they abolished it. Now I think I have even found A BIGGER FAILURE than slavery. STRONGHOLD 3

There have been slave rebellions since the dawn of time. Yeah no shit. But to say slave rebellions played a major part in the fall of the Western Empire is absolutely ludicrous. Please provide me a source about the last major slave rebellion in the Roman Empire.

Well then can you provide me another one? Because I am pretty sure none of your sources told me of a major slave rebellion other than slaves taking part in the sack of Rome which you dont even think had much importance to begin with.

I find it funny that Americans always got the tough part of the invasions. We landed on the worst beach on D-Day (Omaha) and we had to land on Iwo Jima.

It was a good idea to send in the Canadians...nobody likes them.

Its funny because nobody else had any interest in Iwo Jima besides the Japs and Yanks even though you make it look like there was a huge contest on who got to conquer Iwo Jima.
