Sorry, but you are pissing me off so much that I felt required to intervene. The pope is, of course, against the use of contraceptives. Does that mean that mean that every single Catholic that disagrees is automatically anti-papal authority? No. It says in the Bible that sex outside marriage is a sin, does that mean if I disagree with it I am no longer a Christian? No.

Keep it on topic folks. If you want to make a thread about religion I will split the posts and you can carry on over there.

I said Catholic, not Christian. Anyway that's a woefully inadequate example. A rejection of the Pope, Scripture, and God's interference with Earth was what I was talking about. Sex outside of marriage is an individual bit of scripture. Kali rejects all of scripture. All of it. And basically the very fabric of the religion itself.

And Kali is right, let's leave it there. That was my right of reply, I'll talk no more about it, the argument has already been won.

But in any case I didn't say he couldn't bring it up, I said (and will continue to say) that my religious beliefs are completely irrelevant in this topic. It's an attack against my character, one that I'm not going to respond to here, and it has no weight in the argument that we were having.

You complain about Ler's usage of your religious views as an irrelevant attack on your character, but you clearly did the same thing several pages ago by implying that he is, in fact, a paranoid hippie.

Kali's right - hypocrisy should not be pointed out. It should be ignored or accepted. Like when a politician runs on family values and is caught having sex with a prostitute of the same sex. It has no relevance.

But this thread is about paranoid leftist hippies.

Look at the posts. Ler dropped all of his arguments and just attacked me for a supposed hypocrisy due to my religious beliefs. That's not an insult, it's just terrible argument. When I responded to the claim that the left are hippies, I didn't drop everything else, it was just an ancillary remark.

EDIT: In response to D3VIL; I don't recognize it as hypocrisy. But even if it was, it doesn't aid his position. It is ad hominem, even if it was 100% true it's still a logical fallacy. I'm not going to respond to that bogus nonsense here because this topic isn't about religion and theology.

An argument you haven't addressed. You have spent much more time complaining about the argument than actually addressing it which speaks volumes about your hypocrisy.

If you really want to confront my religious beliefs, do so in a PM or in a different topic.

I don't really care about what Ler said, and for the record I don't particularly like him or his communist views. The point I've been trying to prove is that you in fact did, and often continually do, insult your opponents in debates, which I find hypocritical for a moderator who is supposed to be held to a higher standard. It took you a while to even openly admit it.
