I've recently thought this through and found it a funny and interesting prospect. What if instead of going to court and having a lengthly and expensive legal battle, we just go back to dueling. I think it would be an interesting ordeal to settle one's claims by testing one's trigger finger or his skill of the blade. What are your thoughts on the matter?
That was more of an honor thing than solving legal disputes. In the words of Charlie Murphie, "Even back when slapping was fashionable, you know, whip him with the glove and 'I challenge you to a duel', they would still have a gunfight after that, you know, someone had to go!".
Well I mean, just going back to dueling in general. I don't care about the back story just how that story ends (in a duel of some sort).
I was thinking they can use magnums and twirl the barrel before they opened fire, kind of Russian Roulette meets dueling if you now what I mean.
The thing with pistol dueling back in the day was that the pistols were to inaccurate that you would have a nearly non-existent chance of killing the person you were dueling. Today firearms to to accurate the amount murder that would crop up would be unreasonable.
There is a good reason that the idea that the strongest in an argument is widely NOT used as a legal determination in trials. Its illogical and unbalenced.
