As I listened to the newest waroom, My overheard a "certain" person hating of call of duty modern warfare 3, I was okay for this person to hate MW3 because in this country we have a right to a opinion. After a good cupole of hate rants fo this person, the person reveals the ending of MW3!......THAT IS EVIL EVIL, some people who listen like call of duty and haven't completed the mw3 storyline are scared because of this certain person. I like any story, because I for one like the storyline of cod and other things. Spoiling a story is consider blasphemy, and I am not joking, this person should be removed from the from the waroom for quite some time, People have the right to an opinion, but not ruin it for everyone. :0

How could you have MW3 and not have completed it's story, it's only a few hours? Unless of course you didn't like it. Anyways FPS stories are never that amazing anyways, imo. Spoiling the story of a good RPG is horrible but FPS games are just there for the action, not the story.

The story itself never matters at all, it's how it's presented. Half-Life's story is complete ass, but it's presented incredibly well.
I don't think Call of Duty's story was bad, I think how it was done was bad. They just throw in some random Russian guy at the last minute because they need a filler character. But the issue is more that it's repetative. I know Zero Punctuation did something during their BF3 video where they just rolled a dice with 6 options 3 times and used that to make the outline of every moden FPS to date.

Also Lucy was completly wrong about Call of Duty doing things simply for controversy. They blew up a little girl in MW3 for atmosphere. For a sense of exactly what was going on. Same with the No Russian mission in MW2, and the statistics to show like 40 million deaths if you failed the last mission in MW. If it was simply for controversy it wouldn't exist at all so they wouldn't get bad press.

are you stupid? the bad press is why they do it, it gets them free TV time and helps them sell more games. it's made no atmosphere it was only there because they needed a shock moment for a bit of bad press, thats all that did

Is anybody genuinely shocked that a child was slaughtered in a video game? Who cares about civilians being massacred in an airport in a video game? It's a video game. Stop being so anal and enjoy it. Frankly, this is an ingenious marketing scheme which I would subscribe to if I were to ever create a video game. It'd be like Postal 2, except with more pissing and puking.

Anyways, if Lucy wants to shit on MW3 that's fine, if it makes her giggle, than it's all innocent. And I'm sure, comparing the outdated game engine in MW3 to CoD 3 is fucking hilarious, considering that the original 007 Goldeneye had better graphics for PS2 than MW3 does on a PC running it on low settings.

Exactly, it's all fine. The same reason why no one boycotted Half-Life for showing innocent civilians getting gunned down by American soldiers, and no one boycotted World at War for you gunning down a bunch of Nazi conscripts trying to surrender and backed up in a corner.

It's atmosphere to emerse you in the game.
