They certainly have the right to protest. But what would you think if of a person if you didnt know them and you saw them shit on somebodys property. What would you say if your neighbor was banging on a tin can at 3 oclock in the morning when you have to go to work at 8?

Edit: @ comeradeler I am not a republican and neither is my father.....

Assume EVERYONE is throwing fecal matter everywhere.......

Why do I have to be the one to point out this logical flaw? Seriously, he's been trying to make the point that ALL protesters are cartoon apes for the past three pages now; but I have to be the one call him out on this? You guys suck.

If I start throwing shit at the local rich person's house, does that mean I support the working class?

Sly sorta has a valid point, he's just presenting it in the wrong fashion, and it's to vast a statement. It's dumb and obnoxious to think I have to be nice, or even respect these people protesting. They're messing up commutes, wasting resources, and most importantly, giving me a headache with all the racket they're making. If they aren't going to respect my right to ignore them, then they shouldn't expect me not to be a dick to them. Am I going to respect them as a human being? Sure. Am I going to be nice to them, just because they think they have a morally righteous cause? No.

Anyway, it's a pretty small majority of the protestors that are like that, so sweeping statements are a bad idea. Really, it's only that obnoxious minority I speak of.

Your so neck deep in socialist rhetoric that you have no room to talk. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are, blindly following any ideology is stupid.

Translation: I'm fine with protests as long as they don't try to get anyone's attention and they make sure to not disturb the peace. That's the American spirit!

If you can't draw media attention without making a shitload of noise during the night, and then adding 45 minutes to my commute, your doing something wrong.

Usually protests try to make lots of noise. What should they do? Quietly sit around a table and fill out a petition to mail to the government?

No, but if they want to endear the common man towards them, they should probably show a little common courtesy and not do it in residential areas. I don't give a shit if they want to go shout and chant in the middle of the cite, more power to them. But I would love it if they would just respect the people who don't want to participate by not waking us up during the night. Occupy Jerusalem fucking sucks, especially compared to Tel Aviv's movement.

Do they really do that? Occupy Phoenix has stayed downtown, so they haven't really been a disturbance except for the office workers, but no nighttime drums here.

Personally, I think they should go all Fight Club on Wall Street. This movement is pretty much doomed for every reason under the sun, might as well go out in over-the-top and amusing manor.

    CLASSIC COMEDY.

These protests suck, all of the people protesting suck, and the idea of an 'Occupy movement' sucks. You want to affect change? Get people to vote, bother your Congressmen, and change your market habits. Don't set up shitty tent camps in the middle of cities and suburbs where your whining just pools and pools without any practical outlet.

Do what martin luther king did and just have peaceful organized marches, no fecal throwing or druggies hanging about you, your not fucking with anyone's lives and you are not being obnoxious assholes, and yet you still manage gain media attention, WOW!

No goals, no organization, no leaders, these people have no fucking clue how to protest.

Yeah. Jerusalem is a fairly closed off city, but it's still possible to avoid the neighborhoods. However, they make no effort, and love to sing and dance their way all the way through my street, no matter what the time is.

Just getting attention isn't enough. Nobody knows what the protestors are actually protesting about. The only real recurring answer I've seen is "capitalism", which is just stupid. They don't have a leader. They don't have a solid agenda. They're just hippies. Then again, the fuzz haven't exactly done a good job kicking them out. I am still of the opinion that the "protestors" need to throw more shit and set things on fire. Then they could sway a bunch of opportunists and anarchists to participate and claim that they're being oppressed when somebody gets maced.

Theres getting people's attention and then there is just being ridiculous. Martin Luther King's protests got people's attention without messing with people's lives and their property. Could you imagine if his protests were like the Occupy protests? The media would have had a field day with that one.
