Pah! I say Hitler was better militarily (well, in terms of conquering Europe, not so much in terms of turning everyone against him and genocide, etc).
Not so great economically, although Speer kept it going pretty damn well.
I know nothing about the French economy under Napoleon, so I can't really comment on that.
Therefore it follows that Albert Speer is the greatest military leader of all time!
(My actual vote would be for Guderian and Manstein though)

I don't know whether France during the Napoleonic Era did well or not. However I do that his Continental System had a negative effect on the economy... No trade over sea... No shipbuilding, 'cause they didn't need them anyways... And in various parts of continential Europe people began smuggling...

Ok good as long as you agree with me on that I'll cave and say Hitler was a great leader, just not the greatest.

Genocide, enslavement, and a war lost largely through incompetence. You really think these are the actions of one of the world's greatest leaders?

My personal favorite general in history would be Robert E Lee.....because he fought against overwellming odds..he had most of the time no supplies, and ammunition and almost no food, and also the fact his army was twice and even sometimes three times smaller then the union army's he usually faced but everytime he came out victorious, ofcourse he lost in the end but he definatly deserves a bunch of credit for fighting off an entire 100,000 man union army with his army of only 40,000.....I think that makes him one of the greatest in history.

He nearly singlehandedly won the Civil War several times.
