From a leadership standpoint Hitler drove his people to disaster and was one of the worse, oh you can argue that it was economics that did everything when really his greatest accomplishments where all German plans during the first world war and the walmar republic. He was charismatic in the scene of attracting followers, but you also have to realize that he had the ability of propaganda which he used heavily to his way, as well as he had enough forces under his command to rival the miltary of the nation (as on acording to the treaty after world war one) and as such can influance votes to his whim.

Gaddafi had the leadership skills of a cat.

I would like to know, how is one man saying to do something disgusting when the people actually doing the killing refused to do anything about it are seen as lesser evils? Is not someone not doing anything against evil just as bad as the person committing it?

Its really easy to rebel against the system when they command you at a gun point...

I know why people do it but what I don't understand is why they aren't held to the same degree as one man who has little power if the people, as a whole, refuse to go with him.

How can the people not help it? There are plenty of examples of Germans and other Europeans that refused to go with the Holocaust. Example

Just because there were some who survived, doesn't mean the people weren't too scared to refuse orders...

Of course, some did. 95% of the people didn't. But that is completely human. All I was saying, is that a few might have survived, but most of them were too scared to try it. Wouldn't you be?

I can not speak for the fear the people have felt then but I know now that if my government tried to force me into such horrors I would fight it down to my grave.

No, you probably won't. It's hard to predict your own capabilities.

Allways assume that other person is better, never expect that there weaker or else your doomed. Gaddafi made that mistake with the rebellion.

You are all a bunch of faggots for bullying somebody because of their political ideology. Grow up, you hypocritical scumbags. Yaminokami is probably one of the more intelligent users to have joined the forum recently, just from reading his posts in this thread.
