    Whales still are a source of food, and I believe they are hunted for scientific purposes as well.

    We've wiped out species ON ACCIDENT. I'm pretty sure we could do it if T-Rexes were rampaging Manhatten.
    Also, yes, recreate them. Then let them die a week later because Clones die almost instantly/

    1. Seconded. There are few known creatures that could pose a threat to humanity if it had the determination to wipe them out and took to it with all of its resources. Dinosaurs would actually be easier than most others that I can think of.
    2. Is the 'clones die almost instantly' idea based on Jurassic Park, or on actual information on cloning? If the latter, please provide a link.
