http://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...igration-law/2011/11/18/gIQADDmYZN_story.html This is the possibly the best the thing I've heard in the news for over 3 years. Not only did Alabama kick itself in the ass with its illegal-immigration law, they almost shot themselves in the foot. What are your thoughts on this ironic matter.
No, you took THEIR jobs. He was just coming to watch over his worker hordes. Oh and all I read from the article is that rich people get away with anything >.>
I don't understand what that has to do with anything. He was arrested and released only when he presented ID, as the law requires.
I somehow find it better that Alabama is enforcing its laws than them making them and not doing anything about them.
I find this whole Alabama thing a microcosm for the whole immigration debate. When this law was passed, thousands of Mexicans were sent home, freeing up tons of jobs for the "real Americans" in the tomato fields. The funny thing is, no Americans took those jobs. We need our immigrant slave labor, and the right doesn't want to admit it.
They better not deport all the mexicans up here in Western New York, they are the only thing keeping our agriculture based economy afloat. We produce something like the most apples in all of America or some shit like that. It's completely true that most Americans don't want to work on these jobs that so many politicians are worried about. In case you haven't noticed, America is running low on uneducated workers.
The border is smaller and tighter I guess. There isn't an expansive, uncontrolled desert between New York and Ontario, just a short, rough river in a heavily populated area. Rather hard to cross. And we would never give you our Mexicans!
