Of course, I know, but do you realize Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the whole wide world? It isn't exactly the first place I'd go to.

Yes but many slaves went there at that time to start a new life. And anything is a step up from slavery.

Well, I do not necessarily agree with you. As a slave (if you have a good master) you could have a pretty convenient life with shelter, food, family and joy. Again, it depends on your master. Being free doesn't always mean you have a convenient life.

There were very few "good" masters. Those that were "good" usually set their slaves free.

I know I was not accusing you. I was just stating that I noticed it. People do that a lot on this forum for some reason.

Okay, thanks for correcting me. It's always nice to practice your English. ;-)
But as for using sources, it's not hard to judge sources by your own. And if you aren't sure about a source, you can look for another and see if it says the same.

And why am I the stupidest member?

If slavery wasn't a Factor the south would have been in the right, that is the only EXTREME variable that would change the war.

A good chunk of the South's Leadership (including Jefferson Davis and Bobby Lee) Denounced Slavery, Jefferson even called it "Like a Wild dog you have by the ears. You don't want to keep it but you sure as hell don't wanna let it go." I believe some things the CSA wanted were Valid, but on the slavery issue, people jump to accuse the whole country way to fast. I dont support slavery in any way, shape or form.
