    All it gives is bragging rights. It does not matter if you won a Superbowl 30 years ago. It matters what your team is doing now. Does it matter that the Lions went 0-16? No because they are doing perfectly fine now.

    I dont have total disregard to it. I am saying is all it matters is to have bragging rights. "Hurr duh durr it doesnt matter that we suck now we went 16-0 before so were better than you guys hurr duh derp".

    Players dont choose where they go. They get drafted. Thats why rivalries now are usually only real rivalries in the minds of the fans in the NFL, barring certain rivalries like Steelers Ravens and Eagles Giants.

    They can ASK to be traded but the team does not have to trade them if they dont want to. And I would rather go to the team that just won the SuperBowl because that means they are a good team NOW WHEN I AM PLAYING. I wouldnt care if they were good 30 years ago I only care if they are good now.

    I dont know about you, but if I would have to choose between the Dolphins when they were 0-7 or the Lions when they were 5-2, I would choose to go to the Lions regardless of their history.

    I cant believe the defense blew it at the end.
