The Russian Army is spending a lot of money to modernize it to keep up with the US army.
Back in the Soviet days, the Russian Navy was up to par with the NATO and US fleet together.
They had biggest submarine fleet(which they are currently rebuilding) and they still have the navy-power to keep it´s
    naval trade-routes safe.

Yah that too but also because of the Soviet Union collapse. Then they didnt have enough resources to keep their army technologically up to date. In the Russian Navy, the ships just sat in the ocean or on the drydocks, rusting away. I remember seeing alot of that in the Saimaa canal, just before you went to the Russian side.

You do realize, that your statement has nothing to do with specifying your age. You've always been growing since the day you were born, therfore, you can say, at age 10, that you had done that at age 8, since at that time you were little. Not saying you're as young as ten, but you get my point.

Anyways, I'm curious as to what Russian technology will be like in a decade or so, will they be able to fund future projects?

    Now they can airdrop BMD-2's

AN-94's aren't exactly future techology. Neither are Ushanka's, I have one.

Why is the barrel of that rifle so long? Honestly, that is unnecessary. What is the gun called?

Are women in the russian military allowed to serve in fronline combat units? Just wondering because they are not allowed in the US.

I am unsure of Russian Federation military policy, but I believe it's fairly close to most NATO countries regarding female soldiers. When ever I hear of female military it's usually about support combat roles, like artillery crew, airforce pilot, navy and engineer. Of course female soldiers have served front line, but that was the Great Patriotic War, I'm sure they have no need for that now.
