Cures For All These Uncurable Diseases Already Out But Kept Secret?

    So my step dad was trying to convince me of the ridiculous idea that all these uncurable diseases such as HIV and AIDS, already have cures, but they wont release them because they are making tons of money trying to find said cures. I find this absolutely ludicrous. For starters, they would make more money SELLING the cures then they would keeping the cures secret. Whats your opinion on the matter?

    Yeah so, how exactly would anyone be MAKING money trying to find a cure which you wont 'release' when you've found it?

    I guess you could wait for the virus/disease thingy to infect more people, THEN put it out on the market so there's more demand for it, but that's very far fetched.

    The ridiculous theory probably states that the government doesn't know about it these cures not being released. I think it's bullshit. If something like that would really go on, the government would have found out. Besides, the scientific world is pretty transparent.
