I've been lately hearing about many Argentineans (btw, is it "Argentinean" or "Argentine"?) migrating to Canada, or about Canadians here speaking in a perfect porteño because his/her parents came back for whatever reason; so I'm curious, is there a little comunity over there or it's just that Canada is a very cosmopolite country?
Because Argentina sucks and Canada is awesome, plus if they came to Brazil they wouldn't feel "at home".
It was not meant to offend, I mean, it's a tradition-ish thing when you're brazilian to insult argentinians and vice-versa, at least if you like soccer, because Pelé is obviously the best player ever. Btw, if I tell everyone that Argentina is the best place to live in Latin America, how will Brazil be remembered as awesome? PS: don't take me seriously when I'm insulting something, when I'm doing that, I'm failing to be fun at most.
I know, don't worry, that's why I "let it pass" I don't like football (mainly because I suck at it), so you can glorify Pele all you want! Well, Brazil is like the half of South america, and you have a booming economy, that's pretty awesome per se.
However poverty and bad infraestructure in everywhere but the Southwestern and South part of the country make it shitty for everybody.
It doesn't matter what I meant this time, but how you guys interpretate my words... Uhm... In other words it can mean both!
Argentian Canadians? Thats sillier than the idea of Iran making missle bases in Venezula... Who the fuck makes up the names for these Countries?
Obviously the conquistadors... Argento means silver in Spanish... Just drop the final letter and add '-ina' to it and have got a beautiful name for a land!
I still don't understand how Canada got its name... Research is your friend... it came from the word Kanata which is Iroquois for Village.
Argentum mean silver in Latin. When the Spanish arrived they called the river Rio de la Plata because of the rumors about precious metals. One thing leads to another and then bam! you have Argentina. I was talking about people which is Canadian because they were born in Canada, but whose parents are from here.
