When the grand chief has realised the position he was in he declared an arming of his people.In a few weeks the assassins have shown up but the tribesmen have prepared for them.10 Gunsmen 27 bowmen and 14 sword warriors were waiting in the outskirts of the Tawahon capital camp the assassins were only 12 mildly armed thugs. Only one assassin survived and was let go to back to texas with the news of a declaration of war against them.
Since Oakland is on the coast, attempts at a water assailable vessel is in the works. The first attempt was a vessel that looked like a large water tub and it was semi successful, but it sunk after 30 minutes. From what scientists can gather from looking at broken and ancient vessels at the harbor, they were able to make blueprints of a more successful design. the boat stayed afloat for 6 hours which is a huge success. New attempts at this design are being perfected.
The Midwestern BOS extends its hand in friendship to the Tawahon Tribes. In return for access to the Gulf of Mexico, the Midwestern BOS may offer trade in agricultural necessities and some technology as well as offers for military aid. The Midwestern BOS grows! It reaches the Appalacian Mountains, pushing back the various raider tribes and securing the flegeling scraps of civilized life. It pushes North to the Great Lakes and establishes water purification systems. However, the Enclave remain a threat in the Northern Midwest and the BOS renews its push to drive them from the former States.
The Tawahon are thankful for the kindness of the Midwestern BOS but the Tawahon don't have access to the Gulf the New Antonio Conf. has access to it and we could share the lands of our enemy. Some recruitment has been done throughout the lands of the Tawahon and now it has a standing army of about 840 men. (340 Riflemen equipped with Hunting Rifles and Repeating rifles 106 Chosen Gaurds equipped with Assault rifles and Chinese assault rifles 164 Bowmen equipped with longbows and crossbows 200 "Warriors of the Gods" equipped with Laser Rifles and Shotguns 36 Mercenaries) They are now advancing into enemy territory.
Even with the peace, precautions and preparations have to be made. Oakland has recruited 300 people to be in the army. 150 are spearmen, 100 are longbowmen, and 50 are in training to be in the new cavalry force. Packs of wild mustangs have been appearing. Scientists guess that the mustangs went into the wild after the apocalypse for their survival. But these mustangs are huge. They were 16ft tall on its hooves, 8ft long, and 2 and 1/2 ft wide. They were first hunted but the bullets and arrows had a hard time piercing its skin. Our scientists studied the skin of a dead mustang and found out that radiation mutated its skin to be 6x times thicker. The skin was basically as hard as cast iron. Attempts to domesticate the mustangs are currently taking place but it is difficult. The horses react violently when anyone with a weapon approaches it. 3 gunman have already died from trying to defend themselves from these vicious creatures. Any help to tame these mustangs will be appreciated greatly. But when these mustangs are finally domesticated, they will be a dangerous adversary on the battlefield.
The Midwestern BOS offer for trade stands nonetheless. The Midwestern BOS moves to carve a path to the Gulf of Mexico whether it must eliminate the New Antonio Conf. or not.
