I'd love to see Iran's army wipe Iran off the map.

I don't have time to remember the names of all those Mosleem countries. They're all brown, angry, and want to burn down my home.

Of course you don't take the dreams of young children as a 'brown' person, you take away the monetary value of the childs' parents that is to be put towards post-secondary education, as a Jewish person.

All kidding aside, 'brown' people come in all different forms, I'm pale as snow but technically am brown, and all I do is fiesta.

Well let's just make this short as to not go away from the main topic on this thread.
As for World War I the reasons were because Germany was sinking US ships and because of the Zimmerman telegram (Germany asked Mexico to attack US), also some say for economic reasons (The U.S. had huge economic investments with the British and French. If they were to lose, then they would not be able to pay the U.S. debt back.)
As for World War II you had Pearl Habor and 4 days after the attack Germany and Italy declared war on the US.

Well there were weapons and ammo on the Lusitania so technically that was our fault.

Yes that is true, to be honest World War I wasn't really are fight. You can say we didn't get involved in till the Germans tryed to stop us from making money off the war. (At first we did sell things to both sides.)

Yea, its all about the money. USA used the "trade dispute" casus belli on Germany.

Y'know, I find it funny matt. You say war is hell, and that it was the worst mistake of your life. That every time you see the life fade from a persons eyes, a part of you dies. Yet you seem so gung-ho about murdering Iranians. I believe you said a while ago that if Israel did go to war with them, you would be the first person to reenlist. Care to explain this?

Though the British Navy let that sub sink Lusitania to drive US into the war.
Back to topic. the blocking of Straight of Hormuz is a bad thing economically which only improves few lives. And Iran would only have a small gap of the Strait since theres not much passable waterways. That strait is covered by land-to-sea emplacements,mini-subs and mineships which then would leave a big mess to clean up

As with TheKoreanPoet, I cannot speak for Matt.
But for myownself, if I lost a little bit of myself to defend the country to which I owe my loyalty to, then my life is expendable.

Btw: this would make for an excellent philosophy section topic, but I don't really know what to put.

To be honest thats what most wars are about. World War I a great example of how countries were just trying to get more power and at the expense of youg mens lives. I have a deep respect for the soldiers of World War I they were simple pons in a War over greed and power. Also because my Great Grandfather was a veteran of World War I (Was in the US Army).
Thats just a conspiracy theories anyway the Lusitania torpedoed in 1915 which did pissoff Americans but we didn't enter intill 1917.
