The Coalition then begins to strike at Maryland, then the rest of the south, and also sends troops to the rest of New England to conquer land for their vassal. The Ghouls take massive casualties from Enclave troops, and a stalemate evolves at the capital wasteland.
With the new metal steel being produced, the whole Oakland military is rearmed. All soldiers and mustangs are armored with thick steel plates and armed with weapons made of steel. New designs of "steel boats" have come from the sailors of Oakland. Our new "Harbinger" class destroyer carrack has been made. The Harbinger is made of steel and is armed with laser turrets and 5 "dual-missile launcher" turrets. It has 3 masts to catch the wind. With the new Harbingers come the creation of another branch of the military, the Navy. The new Navy consists of 5 Harbinger Carracks and 15 transport galleys.
The Midwestern BOS extends a hand of friendship and aid to the Capital Wasteland BOS and help them in the driving back of the Enclave. Furthermore, the Midwestern BOS reinforces the former Pentagon and extends its hand of friendship to the citizens of Rivet City, bringing them under the fold. Former Langly Airfield falls to the BOS from the Enclave. Meanwhile, the Midwestern BOS secure the interior of former Canada.
OOC: Guys, none of you have asked for trade rights to my steel. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who produces it. Oakland scientists have found a metal called chromium for when you combine it with iron when making steel, it makes an alloy that doesn't rust. Oakland is now asking for trade right to anyone who has chromium.
The Midwestern BOS has no need to ask. We produced steel long before you did. Before you even existed.

The Coalition finally uses sheer manpower to drive the Enclave to Raven Rock, and settles in for a 5-month siege. They also make use of technology stolen from Enclave bases, such as eyebots and hellstorm armor. The Coalition High Council also debates the merits of a navy, and wether it would be worth the coset to build one. OOC: We captured the Pitt, and the steelmill.

Well, I guess we are now competitors in the steel market. You can still buy our steel, our steel never rusts. We ask for chromium in exchange. Trade seems impossible with you since you are based in NY and we are based in San Francisco Bay. But we would like to try and establish a trade agreement with you. We offer corn, mustangs, and stainless steel. In exchange, we want iron, chromium, other metals, and this plant you grow over there called Wheat.
The Coalition finally manages to take Raven Rock after an android manages to assassinate Augustus Autumn. The Ghouls also invade Eastern Canada. The High Council accept this decision, and wonder about the merits of mustangs...
OOC: Our steel grows with the blood of our enemies. Seriously though, you aren't the only one with rust-free steel. And the Elders don't have that much problem with selling steel. The Midwestern BOS MAY be willing to help open economic exchange - if the price is right.
Look at my previous posts. You'll learn that they are very sturdy and strong horses. Keep them away from areas of high radiation, the mustangs die almost instantly from radiation levels of over 150 on the Geiger counter.
The Coalition looks on with glee at having two potential trade partners. Meanwhile, the Ghouls have solidified control of the east coast, with only the BOS remaining independent. The High Council decides that the mustangs will be used as pack animals, scouts, and emergency rations.
Oakland requests that you not try and take action to provoke the mustangs. They have skin as hard as cast iron and make poor rations because of their extremely tough meat. These are creatures of war, they will kill humans if any form of aggression is shown against them. Even we, the people who domesticated them, could not get rid of their short temper. We suggests you use them as an weapon, but we cannot control your actions, we are only making suggestions to you.
The High Council considers this, and decides that the Mustangs will be used as war animals, not as food. Now that the Coalition has achieved domination of the East Coast, it separates parts of it's empire into puppet states that will each carry out tasks assigned to them by the High Council in New York City.

OOC: Oh thanks. The Council tasks the "Republic of Washington" with creating a navy that will secure dominance of the coast. A secret order is also sent to create a fleet that would rediscover lands outside former america.
We clear out a raider camp in a museum of history near redwood city. Most of it was burned up, but we found a few maps of america and an archipelago called "Nippon". We estimate that the archipelago to be directly west of San Francisco Bay across the ocean. We hope that we can find new land and other people.
Washington soon manages to chart out a distant land named "Iberia". The natives are many, but their technology is weak. The Council decides to put it up as an interesting project for later, but has more important things to do right now. OOC: ah well, signing off for now. See you later
With San Jose secure, Oakland wants to make a safe land route between the capital and San Jose. Capturing Fremont is our next goal. The Shi control the area, but they don't have boats. We plan to make a naval raid on Fremont to capture it. Harbinger Carracks will give support to the ground forces while they storm the coast of Fremont. We will have a frontal and back attack on Fremont while the raid is going on to secure the city. The Shi will have no presence near the Bay.
