My mother, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian. Her Mother, Portuguese and Spanish, born in Azores and lived there her entire life. Her Father, born in a small town in Russian SFSR, got out of the Soviet Bloc and travelled through Europe, eventually settled in Portugals capital, then ended up in Azores after becoming a fisherman.

My Father, German, English, Scottish and Irish. His father, born in Canada to an Irish mother and English father. His mother, born in England to Scottish parents, moved to Toronto.

My family never usually tell me about their work or where they've been, all I know from them is where they are from.

I come form a working class background, my grandfather was conscripted into the military and was in the Yemon and Northern Ireland and the worked in a tile factory. My other grandfather was a sheet metal worker. Parents are both civil servants. I know one of my great-grandfathers way back was a railway porter/train conductor, and one was a stone mason in the town of Alton, so he might have helped build Alton mannor house at Alton Towers. Apart from that I don't really know, my great-grandfather on my mums side was one of the missing of World War 2.

I'm Ingrian origin (Finnic people that lived in eastern Karelia & modern day St. Petersburg.) So in more recent history my great grand father was a rich guy in what I understand was Petrograd. As revolution came he hand his family packed his bags and escaped to China. They set up a factory there and shit, but then them damn red commie bastards came 'n ruined fun again so they escaped to Canada. We know that they live there ATM, but we've not been in contact really.

PS. They made a TV documentary about us. I was not yet born, but my folks & relatives were there and they filmed in their place, which is really neat.

My paternal maternal great-grandpa moved from Japan with his wife to Canada to avoid getting drafted to the Imperial army (last name was Nakai if anyone knows if it had some big importance). I don't know a lot about my great grandma but she gave birth to my grandma in Canada. My paternal grandpa was born in Korea (last name Cho if it rings a bell) and became a Buddhist monk, but left the temple, because he had a passion for the cello. He boarded a boat to Japan to study under a famous cellist there, but was arrested because he had no passport. He was taught up to black-belt level karate by the guards in the prison. When he was released, he went to learn the cello. He later moved to Canada where he married my Grandma, then they moved to Houston, Texas, where he played in the Houston symphony. He later died of a disease in the esophagus that involved really bad acid reflex. My maternal paternal great grandma was half Creak. My maternal grandparents live in Fulton, Mississippi, and I don't know much about them. My gran pa's last name is Harold if anyone knows what country it's from. My mom moved to Houston to be a nurse at Texas Children's Hospital, where she met my dad, who is a corporate-business man/computer wiz.
