I saw Twilight, and my review of it was meh. I fall for cheesy romance movies, so that's the only think keeping me from saying it was blatantly awful. The worst one I watched was Godzilla the american version. Although I don't like godzilla movies in general, I think that one is the worst.
I would vote for this if I ever saw it. Probably. The mere concept dumbs down vampires so much. I actually didn't mind that one. Zilla [the canon name for it since it isn't really a 'Godzilla'] is not that bad. The acting was poor on the part of the civilian main characters, but the military officers weren't that bad. Overall, I found myself sypathizing with Zilla at the end of the movie. I still have the movie on cassette. So... you like romance movies, but dislike monster movies? In any case, I actually liked alot of the Godzilla series and have several of them on cassettes and DVDs. I find the fact that, through many generations and many companies, the Godzilla movies continued to make motions towards global affairs to be awesome. Btw: What do you think of the Ultraman Tiga series?
I just don't like Godzilla movies. Him taking 2000 tomahawk missiles to the face just seems unreal to me. I like a lot of other monster movies, especially Dracula. Never heard of it.
Are you talking about the american or jaoanese one? Becouse in Japan every movie/TV show is unrealistic.
It's a movie about a giant fucking monster that keeps destroying cities. How is that realistic in any way?
Godzilla was a metaphor to nuclear power and nuclear weapons. The series is laced with messages about it. The fact that Godzilla can not be destroyed and destroys things is a message about the dangers and potential benefits of nuclear energy. Many of the monsters in Godzilla movies are mirrors of real-life problems. For example, there was Hedorah, who was a message about pollution and its dangers. And yes, that Godzilla is unstoppable is part of the overall message. That nuclear weapons could both save and destroy humanity.
You ever heard of a Japanese Hippie? Or of a Hippie that supports nuclear research? Or of a Hippie that sent the message that Humanity is the bane of the universe? [some of the films had that message]
