There are a lot of people with Irish heritage in Australia. It's one of the larger European minority's, in fact. What I understand, most of them were either convicts, or came in the gold rush. Edit: I love how introduction threads always go off topic.
See? Most of them were convicts, or came in the gold rush. So they were either thiefs, or they were lazy. That's how simple it is. These threads would get boring if they wouldn't go off topic, really.

Greetings from America! I like to ask you a few questions 1. Is "Scotch-Irish" scottish or irish? 2. How is Northern Ireland doing? 3. What is your favorite ale?
1.scotch irish is a language 2. pretty good for once 3. not old enough to drink yet. and most Irish people left Ireland during the GREAT famine of the 1840s and went to England, America,Australia, and Canada
Nach e a dheanamh sin go maith . that Irish and what it means is its not doing so good. its basicly its declining
So is Scotch-irish its own language or is it scotch slang and accents paired with the irish language. Anyways, more questions, do you know the welsh language and if you do, does it has spaces? I've seen a welsh sign and it didn't have spaces so can you clarify?
scotch- irish is it own language and has many similarity's with the Irish language. Unfortuningly i don't know the welsh language so im unable to clarify sorry.
