Each country has its own great movies ,so you cant just decide that this countries movies are better than other countries, their all good in their own way.

American films have the most influence, and for the most part they make good TV programmes. They are however, awful at remakes which they apparently feel a need to do with alarming regularity. That goes for both TV and movies.

I agree that Americans do make good films but and what I am just about to say will hurt allot of people the accent kills me. once I have seen a hole film where the whole cast are Americana I feel like jumping out of my widow.

It could be worse; i'm fairly sure they don't just dub over everything that's slightly foreign anymore, like they did to Mad Max for example all those years ago. Was Mel Gibson really that hard to understand?
No idea about American TV though; i'm put off by the fact everything over there seems to get about 20 'seasons' and a billion episodes within a week of it becoming popular.

Any English speaking nation makes the best T.V.

The problem is that risks cost money, and if your risk fails you lose a lot of money in the film so producers are encouraged to do safe, family films. Think, Jack and Jill and not Inception. Inception with a slightly worse director could've gone awful and they would've lost tons of money. So you can see why people would want to play it safe and gradually earn money rather than go for gambits and hope you make a hit.

In other words, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be more likely to make money than the new, sketchy film about the Sudan Civil War.

TOP GEAR FTW ALL HEIL THE STIG, and some of the other BBC shows are funny if you like British humor, frankly I find them quite silly myself.

Dude, ever seen Sherlock? Fucking amazing, blows any detective out of the water, especially those crappy US ones. Not to mention the British make the best documentaries and humour shows/quizzes. US comedy shows are quite good (although there are a lot of shit ones as well), although they all have the problem that the last season's terrible.
