    No, the only good Windows. Everything prior to 7 was garbage, and 8 will be as well. Well, I guess 98 was decent for its time, but still. Mac only has a very high price, and doesn't have a lot of compatibility (which can be solved by running virtual machines and Bootcamp), but when you use it purely for working, the OS is probably better than Windows. Now, the software is a different question. If you're using Mac OS, avoid Office for Mac at all costs, it's pure shit.

    You cannot deny the fact that XP was dominant for it's time in every single possible way to any of it's competitors., except for, maybe, Linux.

    Dominant =/= good. XP was a bugged piece of shit, and still one of the better Windows versions. If anything XP proves Windows really isn't too good. 7 Did make up a lot, I must admit. They're completely throw away any credibility they had with that tablet piece of shit Windows 8. Not to mention Windows' GUI comes from Mac OS.

    XP was, and still is, really good. I use it for almost six years now, and it still works for me.

    XP is very far from "really good". While it wasn't as terrible as ME or Vista, compared to 7 and Snow Leopard, it's terrible and unstable. In all the time me and my brother have used it (which is what, 8 years each?), we've had to reinstall the entire system several times. Now, our computers were shit (although when we bought them, they were still quite top end) and had a lot of problems as well, but still, the system restoration shit wasn't a hardware fault.

    My computer (not the one I currently use) used XP and never crashed. I loved XP until you couldn't get any new games for it such as Skyrim or Shogun 2 Total War.

    If they don't pull any of that tablet shit, I'd love to see a Windows 9. But for now, 7's fine.

    That's because they've designed it for tablets, the most useless things ever made. This design makes it so that it looks absolutely terrible on a normal and decent desktop or laptop.

    Weird, it has never crashed for me a single time.

    There is. It's called 'Linux'.

    From what I know, Linux is really only used by people who study or work in IT. I don't know too much about it, but apparently it's pretty good and has about 5 trillion different versions to choose from. But yeah, Windows, Mac OS and Linux are the only real serious OS's. Well, and Android if you'd count smartphones, but for now I refuse to acknowledge those antisocial pieces of shit.

    Android = Google + Linux
    There are also Chromebooks, which sound awfully awesome. But then again, they don't sell separate OS', as far as I know.
