I matured, and realized that you can't prove/disprove anything.

Believing in god doesn't have to be black or white, you can question the existence of god but still believe in destiny and fate, or you could embrace god in your life, it doesn't have to be Non believer/believer.

Fact: More people are the Devil than believe that the Devil is real.

Even though the Devil is supposed to be this supreme evil being that everyone's supposed to fear and avoid because he's, well...evil and stuff. But is he really? How many people did he actually kill, according to the Bible. 20, maybe?
Also, I might not have the story right (actually, I probably don't), but isn't the Devil the reason humans can critically think and question things, so basically he's the one that made sure we had free will and free thought and stuff?
    Really doesn't sound half bad.

I don't believe in evil, so I don't believe in a hell or satan. Even Hitler thought he was doing the right thing, what god would punish him for it?

Interesting to say the least, what if this person who thought it was the right thing to exterminate you off the face of the earth you and your family? would you feel negative feelings for this man? would you want god to punish this man? or do you not believe in the afterlife?

This person, if he were to kill your family, would be condemned for eternal torture and punishment. There exists nothing in this world that would come close to being more evil than that. Of course, it's God, so it's fine.

I believe that the devil exist, however i believe that all sins even Satan's can be forgiven. I once dated a Satanist chick, though the experience was interesting i did pick up some things about it, pretty much her version was God was an almighty tyrant who abused his powers and the great Satan lead a rebellion against god for humanity on sake. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theistic_Satanism

Then I guess he would be doing the right thing by exterminating me and my family.
Of course, we can't all be Gandhi.
I don't like the idea of punishment. No. Who is to judge whether he should be punished, whether he was wrong when he believed in all his heart he was right? God? I sure hope a god wouldn't be that cruel.
Interesting question. I answered it in the religious positions thread, it's towards the end.

Ironically, in the Bible God kills more people than the Devil. However when God killed people in it, he was just cleansing sinners, like in Gomorra.
And I don't know how you got that story about the Devil giving us free thought and free will. Must have been Christian propaganda against the Protestant nations.

Hitler killed Jews, who sinned against the Christian God. That doesn't make it right. Heck, basically everyone sins once in their life. Let's all make them suffer for all eternity. Now that's what I call love.

You do realise Protestantism is a branch of Christianity, right?

Not saying he was right, but he didn't kill the people of Gomorra because of Love, but to save other people from the 7 major sins, and everybody in that city sinned in all of the 7 ways, that's why that man and his family that I don't know the name of was sent of the city (they were actually the only non-sinners in there) and the rest of the city exterminated.

Yes I do, however it's not like the Pope or people devoted to the Roman Catholic Church approves the other 'heretic' religions.

Oh, wait, was that that city where when the family walked out, the woman, even though warned not to, looked back and turned into stone or something? Kind of like the myth of Orpheus and Euridice?

True, but you said Christianity, and not Catholicism specifically. At this hour (1 am right now), things like these can get me confused. I really need some sleep...
