I think piracy is a business problem, businesses especially the entertainment industry need a new business model if they want to combat piracy.

What can they do. This idea has been said so many times, but I have yet to see any sort of attempt by those recommending it to create an actual plan that actually combats,"It's free."

    Piracy is theft.

Necessarily what smaller entities do have a pay if you want system if people actually like it they will pay for it. Piracy is not theft is it taking what should be available to us.

I'm going to use that same system and go into best buy tomorrow. It's not theft bestbuy, you should be offering us a better service with a lower price, because this dvd and video game should be available to me anyway, so I'm just going to take it....

Which is why steam offers better services and deals in order to combat piracy.

Well I would actually love to do that as I would love to cause Best Buy profit loss, and a lot of it.

I say yes. If Jesus wanted man to have Internet wings, he would've given us Flight! And pickles!

I voted yes, but i really mean no.

So... you want a system where people can decide to either buy it or get it for free. Didn't think that one out, did ya?

I'm going to approach this problem ethically as I found myself pirating an ethics textbook last night. By stealing this textbook I'm only causing a minuet loss for a large corporation, from this book however I can create a much better societal good than the amount of value I just removed. Of course I actually have to apply what I learned from the book in daily life or I'm simply a morally deprived beast who will never rise above my voracious appetite for self enrichment.

I'd build a bunch of statues and then name my self king of Israel. Though what exactly did matt do to achieve his vast personal fortune?
