As of right now the PRD does not have wide enough distribution of people willing to vote them into office, the PRI does which gives them a huge advantage. Next the PAN has done such a horrible job that there virtually out of the running as of now, creating even more votes for the PRI and PRD. While I expect the PRD to do its best run in its history, it will have no change at beating the newly reformed PRI (which has undergone changes and massive reform since its massive defeat in the 2000 Mexican election) the question really is not if the PRI will win (they will and so will Nieto) but how well will the PRD do and can the PRD fix its current infighting.
