Polish... what?! There were more Croatians than Poles in the Habsburg Empire.
The reason why the Habsburg Empire failed was exactly because of a central government. When the Austrians wanted to centralise power in Vienna(that's a retarded way to spell Wien thank you very much England...) the Hungarians, Croatians, Czechs, Slovakians, Bosnians etc. started to get really pissed and sought independence.

Actually because of the growing influence and expansion of both Germany and A/H into polish "zones" they would have become more influancal in the countries as time went on, the Germans never wanted the poles and where more then willing to send there over to Russia and the A/H, eventually had the central powers won in 1914 they would have absorbed poles into there territories, leading to more civil unrest especially from the weaking and more pro-German Germans in Austria. Eventually it would have more simpler to create a Polish-Hungarian union. It's also noteworthy to note that the Hungarians never wanted independence and compared to the Serbs independence was moderate in the Croatians, Czechs, Bosnian which only sprang up during world war one when it came apparent that the empire was doomed and there own nations could have been formed under there own nationalist views. Had the Central powers won in world war 1 there would still be a Hapsburg empire although it would be fundamentally different.

Edit: Just pick up a book entitled secret treaties of the Austro-Hungarian empire, going to read it.

Perhaps what you said would have happened, but that's all AH and impossible to know for sure.
I wish there were more books in Danish about history...:(

Ironically archduke Franz Ferdinand wanted to created states for all the ethnicity and have it much like the united states model (only with Germans in federal control) but the Czechs and Croats could have state level power. And he was against absorbing the Serbs into the empire, so its so odd that the Serbia anarchist chose him.

the 1900s, if you weren't a communist you where a nationalist.

Obviously the Canadians went back in time to make sure the Byzantine Empire was defeated, only to realize that this caused an even bigger empire, which of course was Muslim which we all the Westboro Baptists who control the Canadians hate Muslims, so they went back in time again and made sure all the Ottoman Sultans had a brain deficiency to where they did everything but modernize their weapons.

In the 18th century was when they stopped modernizing weapons. Sulyman the Magnificent modernized stuff.

Suleiman the magnificent should have been born later when the empire was in need of his services and modernization, but instead they got left in the dust.
