According to the Wikipedia link so thoughtfully provided, the University of Ottawa filed an access to information request, and essentially got a black sheet of paper for all that was redacted.

So, in other words: out of the frying pan, into the core of the sun.

I am quite paranoid about this. I don't pirate but I am afraid of the effect that this will have on things like Youtube. I don't even know what to do in this case. It's international and has much less people aware of it than SOPA and PIPA...

Well, I'm not very sure what ACTA is about (I'm just too lazy too read right now), but something tells me that I may face like 30 years in prison :p

You seem really cheery about that prospect. Smiley and everything.

Nah, I was joking. If people really start getting arrested just because they downloaded music or whatever, I think 80% of our population will be in jail.

I was joking as well. However you may end up in trouble with your ISPs under this and that isn't good either. Since they control your access to the internet and everything.

That awkward moment when your sense of humor fails. It's that videogames are really expensive here :(

All we can do is spread the word about this. Tell whoever will listen about it. In this case it is an issue for many nations, not just the population of the USA. We all have to speak up.

I am just glad that some minor parties together with human rights groups and some big busines support allready said they would support a referendum about ACTA, in the end this would mean i get to vote about it. Hope dies last, but judging from the general knowledge of the relevant voters (40+) it doesn't look good. Specialy if the eu decides to sign it as law, we probably have to follow suit.
For the rest of you in the eu, there is still hope since it has to pass the eu parliament first.

Well I read through some of it and the worst thing I read was that companies don't even have to prove anything is stolen.

I don't believe it was ratified yet though? This just came to my attention, and since the revising and negotiations are going on mostly in secret, it could be bad.
