You have personally stated in the past that the government should not allow people to be homosexual. I do not attack beliefs that I don't believe to be harmful to people but ignorance like this against people for non harmful things, that is harmful to them is most certainly something I will speak out against strongly. Of course I will try to change such harmful and ignorant beliefs when I see them.

You only believe the parts that have caused discrimination and hatred towards people for non harmful actions, at least no more so than straight relationships/sex. Keep believing such things if you want but staying in the past is only harmful.

So Im going to do some complex math here folks and I want you to follow along

Gay people+ Marriage = just gay marriage, nothing changed except two people who hopefully loved each other can get married regardless of sexual orientation.

I'm not telling you what to believe, you just stated "I'm against homosexuality", which is impossible, by the way, because people don't have a choice. It's in your nature.
And you say you only believe in certain parts of the Bible? So this part comes from your own sick belief?

And what part of homosexuality do you hate? The part in which they don't love the same gender as you do? Are you just some sort of homophobian?

"Hey, I have no problem with black people, I just wanna hang them because of their skin color" <--- Same logic, except it is actually possible to change your skin color.

Well according to 90% of the people I know, I might as well be an evil satanic worshiping mass murder who rapes children because you know someone who follows the christian faith can never ever be bisexual ever, and if they are there possessed by satan (yes had someone say that to me)

    Bisexuality=Satan, PERFECT FUCKING LOGIC.

I will proudly admit that I am both bisexual and a Christian. I believe in God and Jesus as much as any other Christian does. And I don't think Jesus wanted us to go around discriminating against people or hating them (or the way they are) for non harmful things. And with that I am done, unless I see a need to respond further.

The thing that bugs me about homophobia is that people have something against it, even though it has no influence or effect on their lives whatsoever. Well, apart from maybe being hit on by someone of the same gender, which would still count as a compliment, if you ask me.

And indeed, there's no need to feel ashamed or even apologise for fundamentalism, which, like homosexuality, you can do fuck all about anyway. It'd be nice if extremism, in all shapes and forms, would be forbidden, but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

What bugs me about the behavior of some people, is that when they find out a person is gay, they try to avoid that person. They don't do that to women either, do they?

I felt this warranted it's own thread and it was getting the original thread way off topic. I moved the posts.

Missed a few posts as I was selecting each individual post. Included them in the OP.

What bugs me about religious homophobics is how they try to defend their arguments.

I'm tolerant to homosexuals and bisexuals. As said throughout the thread, the Bible was translated multiple times and was written by old byzantine men, so I don't believe in everything it says. I just have one problem with homosexuals, gay marriages. Marriage is a religious practice to show the unity of a man and a women. I have no problem with them having civil unions.

I'm pretty sure people were getting married in pre-Christian Rome. I can get why gays, or anyone, for that matter wouldn't want to marry in a church (Which is perfectly normal, by the way. If I ever get married, I'll steer away from churches as much as possible) that belongs to an organisation that willingly hides vicious child rapists, though.
Again, check the picture I posted. Gays getting married can in no way hinder anyone, nor will it cause any harm to anyone. I mean, seriously, gays getting married is a problem, but a one day marriage is fine? Or marrying your rapist should be enforced? It's utterly disgusting and makes no sense whatsoever.

Yeah sorry, and about what Uni said: That's a stereotype. To Chelsea: I have no problem with you, nor my cousin whom just came out of the closet about 2 weeks ago. To Clarify, I dislike homosexuality not the people.

That actually would be kind of weird, now that I think about it. You know, "You're kind of a cool guy, but you're gay, so I hate you". Also, what stereotype where you exactly referring to? I can think of quite a bit of stereotypes for, well...basically anything, really.

Yeah you've said that. My issue with that is you are saying "I have no problem with you, just a huge part of who/what you are".

That's not so much as a stereotype, but more of a plague of disgusting people that stalks the Catholic Church of which they don't seem to want to do anything about. In the Netherlands, several political parties have finally called for a deep investigation. This has been going on for too long, and needs to be stopped. Heck, might as well start an investigation into all child rape. People who commit crimes like these are sick bastards.
