I have kind of lost interest in Tunisia and have shifted by attention over to Egypt or Syria.

I think the US relationship with Saleh is the most entertaining one. He's a crazy playboy bastard who doesn't give two shits about what we want him to do, hasn't produced tangible results in the fight against terrorism (which in his case is better described as a rebellion with ties to al Qaeda), and yet continues to receive our support (and will likely receive asylum when the situation arises). I find it very hard to believe that there isn't a better candidate in Yemen in terms of either competence or US/Western support. I mean the guy pretty much constantly sought to undermine us at every turn. Of course now he appears to be more or less out of the picture.

I already know Blair and Gaddafi have funny-looking heads. If it had been photoshopped then I'm pretty sure Tony Blair would have sued The Telegraph for defamation by now.

Is that really Blair's head? I kinda feel sorry for him now.

The Yemen issue has gotten very little media attention, so has the issue in Bahrain.

That's probably because it involves not just one of our repressive allies, but two. Namely Saudi Arabia which represses its Shia population, and Bahrain which is a Shia majority but with a Sunni monarchy. And Sunni monarchies have got to stick together!

Which is quite sad we are not focusing on either, because the Shia population of Saudi arabia just happen to be next to all the oil, and Bahrain having a revolution would be detrimental to us interest.

Look at their hands. They should not have that many fingers.

As a party to US hegemony I think this is on topic enough, from Noam Chomsky on American Decline:
