Can we get back on topic. I have derailed many a thread over Perry and I don't want to do it again.

Yeah sure he can live, but he can't run a country, let alone one with as much power and influence at the US...
(I don't care if the thread gets derailed)

He has ran the 13th largest economy in the world(also our 2nd largest state) longer than anyone. He is perfectally fit to run the US.

Theres a HUGE difference between running a state and running a country.

I've stated ALL READY why this argument is invalid. Should I whip out the copypasta for you?

I have an idea.....its called a rick perry thread. now what you do is write a thesis paper on why Rick Perry is your hero/god, post it. we call you an idiot, you call us a bunch of socialist pigs and life goes on.

I don't think you guys are Socialist pigs for dislikeing Rick Perry. Hell you guy are practically my best friends. I don't think there is a need for a Perry thread. It will just be one big debate that will get out of hand quickly. Can we not just endure a Perry referance once in awhile and be done with it?

And LampRevolt, I wasn't agruing with you that time so I refered to my first statement. I gave you reasons for your own argument being "wrong".

Slydesertfox, it sure is good training and an impresive feat none the less.

No you didn't, you just jumped ship and pointed at how great he was at other things.

LampRevolt, you are probably right, but the argument over Perry needs to stop. We can PM each other if you really want to talk about it, but lets get back on topic.

I'm mentioning it no more. I hope others will do the same.

So lets get another Obama talk going. Some people say he is a more Conservative than Liberal? What are your thoughts everyone?

As someone who actually lives in Texas, and knows some things about Perry, I can tell you that the man does not actually do much, as it is In the rest of america, the chief executive does not create or amend lavs, merely passes whatever the Texas state legislature (A bunch of republicans) throws at him, Perry is only in politics to make his own money, I mean, he was some railroad man elected as a democrat who switched parties at whim just to get reelected, and while running Texas, you do not need to be a political genius when 90% of the voters in Texas will vote for you, even If you said you would secede from the union or establish a despotic regime. Also, Perry does not have to make decisions that will have as much an impact as the President does, after all, we do live in a federation (unless you're not living in the United States, which I doubt you are).
For the reasons listed above, I do not think Perry is a strong enough leader for the United States of America.

Why is anyone even talking about Perry anymore? Especially in a Obama thread. It's not like Perry is going to be elected President anytime soon.

He's Liberal. The thing is that Liberal just isn't very Liberal in America.

What do people think about his handling of the economy? I personally think he's done decent with the hand he's been dealt. It's hard to say because we can't really know what would have happened if he had done things differently.

I think the economy has done as well as it can under him. Its not like anyone could have fixed it in four years.
