I don't really think they can get away with that, especially if that nuke goes off in a European or American City.

It's far more likely to go off in Jerusalem I'd think. Actually nevermind the muslims would never nuke Jerusalem LOL i'm crazy idk where that came from anywho. But who knows maybe they'd be just that crazy. I like to think nothing will happen though. The odds are leaning in that direciton in my mind.

What I'm trying to say is it'd probably have more strategic value to hit a big Israeli target then an American or a European one because if you hit one of those your giving the west a go ahead to burn your country to the ground.

Right now 70% of Americans support a war with Iran, didn't like 70% support a war with Iraq and now that's down to what a very small number of like 10%. Yeah I wonder how long the support of an invasion of Iran would last (like to remind everyone Iran is the 12th most powerful military when compared to Iraqis 36th)

But hey we are the new Roman Fascist democracy, might as well enjoy it while it last.

The new Rome? Apart from being a hyperpower, I don't really see many similarities.

Well, did you send it in for the Newsletter? It's quite an interesting subject. But right now I think I could sum up more differences than similarities.

Well here's the basics. Strongest army in the world, the world police, (Rome did step in to make peace in other nations conflicts) senate, president and the vice president (the 2 consuls) some might say china is like carthage to us (not by means of war but at the beginning Rome and carthage competed on everything, economics etc) basic idea (American dream= roman dream) citizens are kept happy by entertainment, free market (yes Rome had a pretty free market) and they both got started on a revolution to thrown down the king. And last they both have a eagle as a symbol. Also both have a corrupt political system.(also the founding fathers looked at roman example.) (So lets just wait when the republic goes to an empire.) And Rome considered Mediterranean as a their lake, well us has the entire worlds ocean as its own with their best navy.

Hardly, the United States Senate and the Roman Senate are two completely different bodies with different rules, powers, and processes. The Vice President is by no means a consul, he or she is just a warm body in case the President dies.
    Explain.
Next time use the Gulf of Mexico as an example, at the turn of the century, it was called the American Lake do to Teddy Roosevelt's policy.

Dan Carlin makes a pretty good comparison between the two.
