Yes. And also, America stole my baby!

Edit: Seriously though, yar. It is more than possible for it to happen, and it seems very likely that the revolution was at least funded by the US. I'd be surprised if israel didn't have a play in it.

That being said, I don't like Syria. It's a right-wing dictatorship, so I fully support a people's revolution. Sad thing is though, a pro American government is likely almost definitely going to be put in place. I will of course oppose any notion of invasion, too.

Tried to make it as non 'Anti-American' as I could.

Well all I can say is, we are just now contemplating on whether or not we should arm the rebels which I personally think we should considering they cant fight tanks and artillery with sticks and stones.

can we all be in agreement that if the U.S sold or gave weapons to the FSA they would mop the floor with goverment forces?

Well we would just be back to the cold war style proxy war of Russian weapons vs. US weapons. So yes the rebels would come out on top.

instead of russia though we fight Iran much more powerful than iraq with far more capabilities. on top of that i think
Iran sent revolutianry guards to help the syrian anti-rebel forces as advisers but that could be propaganda. Also
is it true that iran has a REAL ninja force cause i think it would be epic if CIA agents are fighting ninja women with Naruto
style weapons. kind of thinking about it CIA vs Iranian ninja force would make a good episode for deadliest warrior.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved, Americans always mess with other peoples' affairs. Even disputes over little tiny islands between Canada and Denmark!

I don't know where this tirade came from but I was saying that Russia is already arming the Syrian government so if we armed the the rebel forces it would be just like the Yom Kippur War in this regard.

Nah dude it was the Iranians, to hear me out start a war with Afghanistan, while North Korea which is actually run by Gaddafi would lead an invasion on Japan because South Korea doesn't exist its really just worst Korea, oh yeah and America is fascist and Russia just nuked Brazil for the lulz.

Eh, I really don't have that impression yet I could see it. No matter which way you slice it Assad started killing protesters before they got mean. If the US did start that it was wrong, but Assad is also doing wrong.

I have yet to find any reason to why anyone would support Assad, I mean I can understand Gaddafi at least an attempt is possible with Gaddafi but Assad.

Geopolitical climate. If they don't support him, they lose access to the Mediterranean, a large part of the middle east, and they lose a lot of political influence in the region. I don't think anybody really views him as a good guy, but rather a necessary evil.

I personally find the current international political climate akin to a rapist and a murderer arguing over which one of them is morally superior.
