Bring up his invasion of Iberia and the massive guerrilla war he fought there.
Also, during many of his crazy programs (for instance, one of his boycotts of England) he would do things like attempt to execute disobedient vassals. For instance, Holland's King began to go a bit off from Napoleon's idea (he was selling licenses to trade with England, but don't put it like that) so Napoleon dethroned him and called for his imprisonment.

Other than that, general dick moves like divorcing his wife because he needed a male heir, kicking around the Pope, some massacres that everyone does, 0 empathy for anyone, and say he forced himself on the French People when he returned from Elba (which is a half truth).

Show liberal restraint when stretching the truth.

@coex 9th grade. This is our second (and only required year) of anything other than US history.

O rly? Not teaching of the actions that lead to the horrible results in their history? Hmm. Although it isn't much better in Canadian schools, as far as I could tell, they were still pretty stupid.

This is stupid. What is the point of a debate where you are forced to argue against your own beliefs. To be honest I wouldn't stand for it. I would sit out, have my parents intervene. This lady is stepping all over all intelligence you have by doing this. Napoleon a tyrant? Psh, that is one thing in itself.

Yeah I know. Isn't the problem that his teacher is forcing him to argue for him being a tyrant while he doesn't believe that at all.

Edit: Okay I see, he got the right side. Still its unfair to those who wanted a certain side.

Thing is that this happens all the time. I remember in my World History class back in 10th grade we had to do a bunch of debates and we didn't get to pick what side we were on. I rememder in one I had to argue that the unification of Germany, threatened the stability of Europe. In another I had to support the actions of Great Britain and other nations in putting down the boxer rebellion and sepoy mutiny and in the last debate I had to support the allied bombing campaign aganist Germany.

Well I personally think its is stupid and no matter how many schools do it it will ways be stupid. People shouldn't have to argue points they don't agree with.

Well I see what you mean, but it happens. Maybe they do it so you have to learn what other peoples opinions are, or maybe they think if people are aloud to choose that one side could be out numbered by the other side and the debate would just be one side hammer into the other side. For example, I rememder in my 12th grade government class we were talking about abortion, now most of the class was pro-choice and I would say that about 5 people were pro-life. Now we didn't get into a debate but if we did you can see how the fight would be in a way one sided.

You got a point there. Also Off Topic a little, but you guys debated abortion? That sounds pretty hardcore.

It was an AP (advanced placement) class, but we really didn't debate it. What happened is that for the class we had to write a paper about a politician or about a political debate and percent it in front of the class. Someone did there paper on abortion so we started talking about it.

I'm not to much into politics, I'm a history person so I just did my paper on Woodrow Wilson. To me the best thing about the class, is that we got to meet and ask questions to the people that were running for the US /NY senate and NY assembly in the mid term election back in 2010.

How the hell is World War I America's fault? At first we just stayed out of it and traded with both sides. We didn't enter intill April 1917. I'm going to guess your going to write about how it wasn't our fault, right?
