Isn't Wisconsin trying to severely cut what unions can do.

Of course not, did you read my post properly? If they don't do anything they won't be valued by the electorate and thus won't get re-elected. If they are not motivated by their duty as representatives to atleast attempt to resolve their local problems, then they should at least be motivated to in order to atleast keep their jobs.

Well the current Governor, Scott Walker, is being recalled by people because they see him as doing a terrible job performance. They may have just succeeded because now it might go to a new election for governor. Now that is more democracy for you.

Were they not motivated to debate and pass healthcare? Were they not motivated to debate contraception? Were they not motivated on if they should extend tax cuts? Obviously each senator and representative was motivated to choose what they will vote for and what they will support, as is every politician since the dawn of time. If you are not motivated then you would had not attended the state of the union address, but I am sure all, if not most did, thus they are motivated to do that.

I do not see how that has anything to do with a the recall of a governor.

No matter what all you'll get is a governor that listens to where his campaign donations come form.

    That is good.
People in the US seem to have forgotten "Vote of no confidence".
Now they must apply it to a larger scale.

If you wanna look at what is wrong with democracy at the US, look at the Republicans in the US Congress. They have basically adopted a "Let's go against Obama on everything even if it is something we usually support" policy, which is allowing for us to get absolutely nothing done at all. How can you blame a president when Congress is not letting him do anything to get blamed for to begin with?

It shows a president's failure to compromise. Also, the president can make his job just as ineffective by vetoing bills and this is most notable around presidents like Andrew Johnson, but any president can do it.

I disagree, this state has had some very effective governors, most notably Bob La Follette.

You really understand absolutely fucking nothing about the oil industries possibilities in America do you?

Someone's probably all ready said this but I'm saying it anyway. The oil your talking about is in shale, a source of fuel which has the lowest efficiency rating on earth . It's so inefficient that for everyone 1 barrel of fuel you use to get oil from the shale, you are only going to receive about 1 and a half if your LUCKY. Even the set up for producing fuel from this method would drive oil prices up immediately and you do not just "drill" for shale. Any actual drilling operations for normal crude have been utterly insignificant in comparison to other sources, and there is certainly no way that America could keep up with it's oil demand by itself. It's also worth noting that domestic oil production is higher now then it was in the bush years.

You are an idiot. Do some research.

I mean fuck me do any of you bush fans know anything?

    Yeah...
I didn't bother going into specifics, but I did point out that the processes are different with different side-effects of the mining and processing processes.
    I just posted some links.

You can not be serious. He has even gone as far as proposinh fucking republican ideas and they STILL ignored him because they DON"T WANT to compromise. How can you blame the President for Congress adopting a "Let's go against everything he says no matter what policy"? I mean seriously. We almost freaking defaulted because Congress, not the president was being an idiot.

Don't try to use reason with them. Just state non-disputable facts and watch them make the most irrational statements ever.

Democracy and republic are two different things technically.
