Mate I'm a grown ass student so it's not the same for me but my mum & dad are in a similar situation. My dad's a depressive and my mum doesn't have the courage to leave. Just like with my parents, I think yours will work it out with time. I wish you luck man.
Ok. So in 2000, my mom and dad moved into my neighborhood from Trenton. (they were already having problems before this). Now my current step-dad lived next door. So after my mom got a divorce a year or two later, my mom moved in with my current step-dad, next door. (I can confirm that he was not the reason she divorced my dad). And yeah that's the short version of it. I also have two brothers from my mom's previous marriage who are 27 and 32. One lives in Texas and the other in Florida. The one that lives in Texas doesn't speak to her, and the one in Florida is trying to see if he can find her a job there but it is unlikely, so yeah we are stuck here. edit: Thanks D3vil.
That's a really shitty situation, I hope your brother in florida pulls through, cause it sounds like this guys is immposible to live with.
He's not "impossible" to live with, but I am pretty fed up with him. edit: as is everyone else in my family
Yes they got married in like '04 or '05. A few months ago, her brother called the cops on him, and the cop was practically begging her to have him arrested (the cops are very familiar with his kids who btw one is a heroine adict and the other an alcoholic), and they even said if she were to divorce him, she would be entitled to half of everything which is interesting, because he had always used the argument "This is my house!" to kinda suppress us.
I know, but sometimes people call parents boyfriends that regardless of whether they are married or not. Plus I just thought it would be little strange if his mom married the guy when she just moved in with him, but now that I think about it was kind of stupid question. Edit: Shit that guys family sounds fucked up. My aunt just went through a "divorce"(turned out they were not legally married), with a guy who turned out to be freeloading coke addict. Good thing he was not married to her or he would of tried to take my aunt for everything.
She married him after like a year or two. Even then he was tolerable (now that i think about it, it was mostly because you can only enforce so many rules on a 5 year old and a 6 year old. )
My grandfather really hates black people. If a black guy appears on TV, he'll scream "spook!" or "blackie!" until he leaves, and he just doesn't bother to watch anything with a black main character.
