I don't know much about this subject, and I'm curious about what you guys think.
But I guess I'll go with the CIA. However, as I said, I don't know much in this field, so I could be (very) wrong.

I personally like ours CSIS because they are very secretive, we don't even know what they do.

lol. I feel like they don't have as much to worry about as the U.S. and other countries. I have no idea what i'm talking about though, so who knows.

A lot of people seem to think Mossad is behind everything and anything, so them, or failing that, ODESSA, because they don't actually exist. At least that's what they'd have you believe!

    We already had this thread.

    And Chinese Secrete Service.
So secrete that you don't even know their name and can only assume that they exist.

My vote would probably go the Stasi of East Germany, those guys did tremendous amounts of missions t0 repress western influence and keep the gate to the Soviet Union locked.

Praetorian Guard. Nobody is more badass than people who murder their own leader 3 times in a year.

I wouldn't call them a secret service(they where used for inteligence and espionage sometimes, but that was not their main purpose), they where an elite military unit. The frumentarii where the roman equivilent to an inteligence agency. I am going to have to go with the CIA, they plaued a major part in the US winning the cold war, and they are definatly the most supported, well funded agency today.

    Secret*

But this thread is flawed in that nobody would really know what anyone's intelligence agency does.

The Latvian Secret Service is so secretive you can't even find it on Google. That's some pretty secret shit.

That's what I thought too, lol. Probably not as exciting as the CIA, I'm guessing.

I think the CIA is more scary than exciting. There are rumors that they have a file going around about almost everyone from the US who's on the internet, and a lot of people who aren't from the US.

Hell, would they be surprised that we go to a website named "josefvstalin.com"!

That would be the FBI's job, remember J. Edgar Hoover?

Wasn't he one of the first heads of the (back then) Bureau of Investigation? I don't know who's job it is to spy on everybody on the Interwebzz, but it sure is scary as hell to think that the US spies on me more than my own government.
