I was just responding to mustachio's remark that through an effect we can see the initial.

Exactly what I am trying to prove. The debate is pointless and cannot be won by either side. Unless you are saying that not assuming a god exists disproves its existence. Then I disagree.

Again, I think we must be clear that I am not arguing for the Christian God, rather deities in general. Why should a god, who made it abundantly clear, in his/her/it's own mind, providing textual support for his/her/it's existence need to return every few years to remind us of his/her/it's existence.

Diffenrece is, science formulates an exact theory which describes that in order for it to be true, element X has to behave like Y under circumstances Z. If it does not, the theory is wrong, and they will formulate a new one.
You are just saying, X behaves like Y, therefore god! Which is incredibly stupid.

He does if he "gave" us the ability to think logically. No one, with a sane mind, would read a book or text describing a god, written by shephards and fisherman, and take it for fact just because it says so. Especially when it is just ONE OF THOUSANDS of those books and texts written in human history claiming the same god damn thing. Its just stupid to do so, and I will call everyone that argues that this book, full of mistakes, inconsistencies and obvious lies is enough to believe in any kind of god stupid. Period.

Yeah, no. That's completely not how most religious people think. Religion in most cases, explains things we can not know, in a way that leaves the question open. If there would really not be anything except for the universe, why would so many tribes in so many different places on earth start getting a religion (in prehistoric times)?

Who really cares anyway? People think about this for many, many years, and here's some German idiot trying to change that opinion in a few hours. Stop trying, you're only making yourself look like a fool.

Since the neither side then win then you have no reason to believe in any sort of diety. The fact that you can't be proved wrong doesn't mean it's a rational choice to believe in such things.

Well probably because since it's all knowing it will KNOW that the majority of the planet will not believe in the that nonsense so in terms of chrstianity banishing all people not fortunate enough to be born in the geographic area of influence to hell.

If a god did come up with this scheme, he was a moron.

Theories are never "true", but oh well, according with my teacher I have an obsession with Popper l0l. And just because you believe in God doesn't make you stupid; there were lots of great minds that believed in him, and it doesn't matter if "there were another times".

I specifically talked to Coexistence, hence the quote. And he said, There is life, and that prooves there is a god.

    @ Yarpen
You basically have no idea what a scientific theory is. Gravity is a scientific theory. And it is true, so yeah....
Also, I didnt say all who believe in a god are stupid. I specifically said, those who believe there is a god, on a the sole reason that there is an old book that says so, are stupid. If you can give a valid reason, with which you can prove that believe in a deity is justified, I wont call you that. But so far, no one in this topic came even close....

You still have the idea that Christianity got stuck in the medieval era, right? People should have the right to believe in everything they want to believe in. Who are you to tell them they can't?

I'm not passing any laws, I'm not telling anyone they HAVE to or be punished.

I'm telling them their logic is flawed and if they are offended by that then I don't care LOL

You guys don't just disagree, you keep telling them they are stupid morons. That's something completely else.

Are they telling you that you have to believe, or you should be punished? You keep telling them that they're morons and impressionable sheep.

I have read enough epistemology to say: no. Also, gravity is not a theory. A theory is "what makes gravity".

Edit: I've noticed this pattern, believing in God through The Bible is wrong because it was written by men and etc, therefore is may be wrong; but if you a read a scientific magazine, it has inherently the truth.

Actually we, Christians believe both man and God wrote the Bible. We believe God inspired the writers to write what they wrote.
