Fuck you and fuck all the yogscast fans. The yogscast used to be tolerable when they only did WoW commentaries. Now all of their fans are 9 year olds who play Minecraft. It's a damn shame. Simon constantly mocks his own fanbase, he thinks all of his fans are downright retards. And he's right.

Am I the only one who actually saw that Ler wasn't just being crazy these time? You guys are just ignoring everything he says because you don't like him. He was being severe and casting blame a little too far through family tree's but that doesn't make him completely wrong.

While kali was right and the event did shape the world after that it was hardily because of the magnitude of the horror unleashed. American's like to suck their own dick on the subject all the time like somehow they are special for actually trying to help the fire fighters dig the survivors out of the wreckage, as if no one else on earth could come up with that conclusion.

The political side of this event which I could continue on is irrelevant though. The point here is you people need to stop sobbing about something that happened 11 years ago. When hurricane katrina destroyed new orleans killing almost 2000 people that wasn't news for half the time . Not even a quarter of the time. The fact that it was a bunch of rich white families effected by a bunch of terrorists who were mad at you for fucking up their nation all those years ago (wait you mean people can hit us back for fucking up their country?) somehow justifies in Americans mind that this was the most atrocious act in history.

To be honest I have to agree. They spend more time watching yogscast then they do yelling " YOUR A NIGGER! " On MW3. I only watch for the mods.

I got into an argument on another forum with overly buttsensitive and patriotic Americunts after posting this as a reaction to someone claiming that drones are the modern equivalent of mustard gas. Its been a decade, its fine to make fun of it. And thats all I care about.

Yeah! Let's laugh about an event in which thousands of innocent people died! Great Idea! But seriously, you can't really understand how this event has changed America unless you ARE american. So please don't make jokes about it.

How many innocent people has the US killed with the war that followed? And how many are still getting killed yearly? Have you ever thought about how funny that is? Just because it's "touchy" doesn't mean people shouldn't make jokes about it, and especially not if the US still does the same thing. But I guess the difference is, the US is Christian and always does everything for the Greater Good, and the Muslims are the Terrible Evil which we have the right to exterminate all we want. Fuck yeah! Genocide, motherfuckers!

I never said nor agree with any of that. I don't see Muslims as evil, far from it. Don't lump me in with my idiotic countrymen, as I don't agree with that at all. Also, I don't think any of that is funny. I just don't like people who make jokes about Tragic events, in particular one that has so affected my country. Do I think my country always acts for the best? Of course not! How can I? We've screwed up plenty of times. But what does that have to do with 9/11? The point is, that it was a tragic event in which thousands of innocent people died, and thus we should not make jokes about it. Is that so unreasonable?
I don't think so. But that's just me.

But people, yes, you too, tend to completely exaggerate the impact it had to the world. This might sound a bit harsh, and I feel really sorry for all the people who were involved, but it was just a few thousand. 3000, to be exact. So what? Lemme put this into context: the world counts more than 7 billion people. That is 7,000,000,000. 7,000,000,000 - 3,000 = 6,999,997,000 people. Every day (according to Dutch Wikipedia), the population grows with 209,000 people. So after approximately 1.5% of a day, which is 21.6 minutes, this decline in world population is undone. This event, is relatively... nothing.

So if I make a joke about someone having a flue, would that piss you off?

I did not say the world. I said America. I never said the effect on the world, I said America. I have always said it had a big effect on the American Mindset, and it has. It was not all the amount of people it killed, but the suddeness, the way it happened, and the complete surprise that it happened. Last I checked, America is not usually attacked by people who hijack planes, then fly them into massive buildings packed full of people. The effect this has had on the way we view things is huge. Just look at airports, how much more security there is. We now look on Muslims with suspicion, for no other reason than their religon.
Or do you deny that it hasn't really changed America? I have little more to say on this matter. I've repeated this same thing again and again. Look beyond the numbers. This shocked America, not just because of the number of deaths(this is the worst single terrorist attack in history, after all) but that the rarity of it here, in (so we thought) safety here, on our own soil.

I would like to go back to what Kali said that this did have a profound effect on a lot of events that have happened since 9/11.
