So, tomorrow, on the 17th of march, I will be turning 18 - Which is the legal age of alcohol consumption in Australia. I've never drank alcohol in my life, so I figured it might be cool to make a special birthday event of it- So, sometime tomorrow evening (AEST) I'm gonna stream myself having my first taste of alcohol, while I play games. I've got no idea how I will react, but hopefully it will be fun. I'll update this thread with more info when it becomes available.
Be sure to eat a big meal and drink lots of water before hand (water should also be consumed during and after) so you don't get too bad of a hangover. I don't know what you guys drink down under but you probably won't like fosters, it's a really bitter beer which I wouldn't recommend for a new drinker

If you want to intoxicate yourself in the easiest legal way possible, go to your local headshop and buy some legal herbal incence, labeled "not for human consumption". Smoke it. Feel it. Enjoy it. Stream it for our amusement. You'll thank me later.
I'm not exactly sure what I will be drinking. 'VB' or 'Victoria Bitter' is the generic beer around here - I've had tiny sips of it when I was younger, and what I remember it tasted like piss. I was hoping to make vodka my first drink, but I'm not sure if that would be a good idea, plus I don't know if we have anything to mix into it. Maybe one of those Vodka Alchopop things? Will they mess me up too much? Oh, another thing to take into consideration is that I'm on some pretty strong anti-epilepsy meds. Apparently they will intensify the effects of alcohol by quite a lot, so I'm not sure if I should go with something weaker, just to be safe.
This is kind of depressing, but I guess the only thing to do in Australia is watch black people get shot or Muslims get shot.

Yea almost all medications say "don't mix with alcohol". Honestly I'd say whatever you do, do it in moderation to be safe. Also I would consider calling your doctor and asking him if it would seriously affect you, or what extra steps you would need to take... Assuming all is gravy vodka is easy to mix.... Almost any fruity drink will make for a decent vodka mixer. One of the widely popular casual vodka drinks is the screw driver, which is just vodka and Orange Juice, which I'm assuming you guys have access to down there. For any mixed drink you want to basically pour 7/8 of whatever glass you have and then fill the rest with alcohol. Most drinks should only contain a shot glass (1.5oz) worth of alcohol otherwise the alcohol can get overpowering
Well, if you're going to go with beer, don't drink the beer froth, it's very bitter. Although if you're drinking from a bottle or can, you should be fine. If you can get your hands on it, I suggest going for Belgian beer, it's the best in the world. As for vodka, the time I tasted it without anything mixed in, it was allright, although it really didn't have any kind of taste. I personally prefer whiskey.
Keep the suggestions for drinks coming, though I need to figure something else out too - What game should I play? The main games that I play are The Sims, Darkest Hour, vic 2, crusader kings, Skyrim and df/lcs. None of them really seem like drinking games though. I was considering playing X3 - But although I own it, I've never actually played it before, so the learning curve might kind of ruin it. I suppose Fort Zombie could be cool too.. What do you guys think?
Something completely fucking mindless and simple to comprehend whilst intoxicated. Search for a shitty browser-based platformer if you have to. Or play the free version of Minecraft on the browser, then you could make some rediculously out of shape and completely screwed up structure which we'd all laugh at the results of. Edit: Also, how big of a time difference is there from Eastern Australia to Eastern North America?
