Hey guys, so these next few weeks are going to be super busy for me, and while I thought I'd pick up the server stuff pretty quickly, it frankly isn't really happening. So I decided to bring on another admin. As an admin you'd have access to the server control panel and all the god commands in game so you're going to have to demonstrate to me that you can be trusted with that kind of power. Basically I'm looking for someone with a greater server expertise (It's running craftbukkit 1.1) who can help out with the tech side, and moderate issues while I'm not online. Ideally I'd like someone who shares my general server vision which I'll outline: A fun, fair, pvp environment with factions. There should be certain safe areas in the faction home cities, and people shouldn't be able to loot peoples stuff when they're not there, or spawn kill them if they're lower leveled. I also envision some kind of global trade system that's connected to all of the factions where people from any faction can come and trade surplus goods for stuff they need / want. Personally, I'm just going to be a builder, most likely building a glistening city to serve as a center of trade and commerce and perhaps diplomacy between the factions. What I'm looking from you guys is your vision for the server, your technical no how, and why you want the position Thanks guys, and hope to bring this server to the next level! - Pedro
I decided to wait a while before applying to see if anyone else would like to jump onto the admin list. I haven't run a minecraft server before however, I quickly set up a local bukkit server on my localhost for testing purposes and the whole thing seems easy enough. I cannot code Java (nor do I intend to learn) which of means a reliance of mods created by others however, that is hardly surprising since I doubt anyone who would even think of applying could either. So within the game there should be a central neutral zone or city in which no one can kill or be killed, faction cities & the wilderness/war zones which are PVP obviously there needs to be a way for one faction to overpower other factions and I can look into mods which work well towards the goals you have laid out & that work well together, the good thing is that most mods if you provide minor edits to the files should allow for a large array of tweaks to get the best possible experience. I want the position because I like playing on the minecraft server however, feel it has a lot more to offer than it does in its vanilla state as it is now.
Yea, I don't think anything requires major work, the server control panel looks really easy it's just in a completely foreign language to me. Like I send a support ticket that says X, and then I implement their solution and Y pops up and I have to ask how to solve that. I just lack the ability to problem solve with this stuff
I have a good buddy who has been teaching me about this with bukket and I could be a third admin if we ever need to get to that state. I don't think I'm ready yet though

fixed it. edit- Also bear in mind was the only one fighting. You were in the mineshaft... on the other side of town. While there were 5 explosions. Every secound.
I was actually renovating my motel, which I have to repair! BTW, I think I may have left one of the secret entrances to my house open, DO NOT STEAL MY STUFF. (or use my portal)

im thinking about getting this game on july 2nd {my b-day}. are the servers up and being used daily or is just fizzled out? is the community freindly cause im gona newb it up in multi player.
The servers are still up I think. And I'm pretty sure the community is still going strong. I can't be sure though. I hope no ones messing with my house. My computers crashed, so I can't get on.
