Not really. Yes there is no 100% conclusive proof, but there are some VERY strong points to suppourt it. It wasn't a concrete and flawless assumption, but not a baseless one either. Your great buddy Kali has stated that he greatly doubts Matt's claimed identity, and while we're on the point, he has made many more claims that really are baseless and ridiculous.

Again, you're probably too deluded to be swayed by anything I say against Kali, but I was referring mainly to his comeback speech. I already addressed a lot of it in an earlier post.

I don't have to say much because Ironchin has hit the nail on the head several times already but the claim is not that Matt definitely lied about his location, the claim is that he probably lied about his location. Had he not he could of easily explained to Stalin when Stalin initially confronted him 1 on 1 about it, instead he temp-left the forums. I believe the evidence against Matt combined with his own reaction are enough to put the issue beyond reasonable doubt, but if it is untrue Matt is by all means allowed to give us evidence to the contrary.

So if you agree he probably did why are you still arguing?

I know that mate, I was just replying to Toast who said "I just don't like the idea of using somebody's location to justify banning them, even if they did lie about it in the first place." So I said, who's justifying it? Because no-one was. Because that wasn't what happened. ;-)

I am looking for a forum outsider to overhaul the PA and get the NKVD back to work.

On a more serious note the only thing that seemed relativity bad for the forum in the past couple of months was the loss of two moderators. I think if that is properly managed(and I'm not saying it hasn't been), then all is well and the forum will continue to prosper. It would be nice to see some new life in NKVD, but I know too little about how that works to weigh in on that.

Wow. I haven't been on the forums lately because of my MA thesis and getting ready to move, except looking at the music thread every now and then, but we've lost MatthewChris AND Kali? That's really shocking. I never would have thought of Matthew as a fraud, and as much as a nit-pick Kali could be to people (I also had my share of some exhausting, close to blood-boiling arguments with him), they both didn't seem like bad guys. Kali actually liked quite a few things I said and pointed out, and Matthew seemed pretty sympathetic. Well. Times sure have changed.

Hahah, you could say that again. I spent an hour reading all the old threads last night, and all I could say was "wow."

For me, I'm worried about the personal opinions of the staff interfering with properly punishing people on the forum. Multiple times I've seen moderators say that said person is a really good person in RL.
