Fun Fact: I was an Anarcho-Syndicalist when I first joined the forum.

Jesus christ why is this not required reading? Technocracy needs to spread, and fast. More people need to know about this now, before it's too late!

I think overall, it's a good idea, but I am not sure how exactly it can be implemented.

What you're doing now with that question, pragmatism, helps.

Well remember, all that is required for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, and the first step is obviously to spread the word. We cannot wait for the Manna to strike first!

"Manna" will strike first. The only thing you can do at this point is brace for the shock. The way we do this is by stating our assumptions, putting them to the test, pushing them to the limit, then restating our assumptions afterwards. Repeat this until making the wrong decisions is impossible.

So in order for there to be a technocray there must first be a manna? But still, why is there no massive movement is support of this theory?

Yes, there was nothing inherently wrong with Manna. Evil was in the application. There is an advocacy group here in North America, but they had a massive decline in membership a long time ago. They weren't vary charismatic in their approach and their leader may or may not have been a failed wax salesmen. (or some shit like that)

Okay. I suppose we shall see once post scarcity becomes a reality. Which shouldn't be too far off now. In the mean time, it is not too late to spread the word.

Technocracy scares me. 'Let's give robots and machines full control over everything in our society, and create an artificial class of people, with absolute power over these machines to run them! Nothing could go wrong!'. Seems far too idealistic to me, and this is coming from a commie.

Nobody said anything about giving absolute power to anybody. In fact, absolute power applied anywhere would render a government of functions inoperable.

Yes, and robots and machines will take over the economy anyway, so we ought to just roll with it.
