How many people in America are raped every day?
How many people in Saudi Arabia are raped every day?
Compare those numbers and tell me if this is a good law.

With the amount of unreported rapes that happen, and the difference in action towards rape in different countries, I believe that the numbers cannot be compared accurately.

Yea or it has something to do with the fact that you need two whitnesses to convict a man of rape! How is it working out? Seams great, obviously women get raped less in saudi arabia then in the us............ atleast less men get convicted for it.

Same idiotic argument could be made about car accidents. Obviously saudi arabia has less car accidents per cappita. OFCOURSE because half their population is not allowed to drive.

At least women don't get stoned for "Adultery" when they get raped or worse forced to marry their rapist. Religious codes of law have never worked effectively and never will.

Listen, If you want to argue about Sharia Law seperate it from religion. Sharia Law is essentially a form of control, it was made up by the corrupt rulers of Saudi Arabia and maybe before. Sharia Law is actually not part of Islam, very suprising indeed. I did my research on the topic and yes its not part of Islam, as mentioned before. But I do agree, its a horrible system.

Depends on the translation, if you want you can read it yourself in Arabic.

Actually because Sharia is based on the Quran and the Quran is the holy book of Islam that means Sharia is directly related to Islam. Doesn't matter if your reading it in Arabic or Icelandic.

Yet people who aren't religious can come up with morals perfectly fine.

Exactly why we Christians don't take every part of the Bible seriously.

@UnitRico The basis of all religion is morals.

Clearly you don't. Religion can be completely separate from morals. Take Taoism for example.

Religion was created in order to explain things and to have a sense of the way to act.
