I´m now laughing of the people in this forum who defended Obama and who didn´t believed me when I said he was a socialist.

But the best is that I only considered him as a moderate socialist. And he has been getting even more radical during the last times (probably because of the OWS call for radical change).

Is Obama waiting for Israel to attack Iran or vice-versa, then declare state of war and nationalize what is mentioned?

This is unnecessary and you shouldn't focus your thoughts directly on Obama, perhaps you can relate this to the many times Americans have done horrible things with bills and acts in which they try to carry out over the world.

Fascism is when the government controls all aspects of civilian life, controls almost all industry, and there are very defined social classes. Not what this is. Socialism is when the government controls major aspects of civilian life, and major corporations, with no social class.

Social class? There has never been social classes since the end of feudalism in the West. The marxist concept of classes in the 20th century and 21th century (bourgeoisie and proletariat) is bullshit, since everyone is equal before the law an both the two "classes" are dependent from each other.

No, I don´t watch Fox news or Glenn beck (the guy is ultra-ultra-conservative and that´s crazy). But I don´t watch MSNBC either or Rachel Madow. I criticize the 2 sides.

And yes, Obama is a moderate socialist (social-democrat), has many people of the Democratic Party are. He has a past showered with marxists and his policies are clearly simmilar to what would be the policies defended by a social-democrat. American liberalism (that is greatly represented in the Democratic Party)and social-democracy are not that different ideologically.

No Obama is not social democrat he is a conservative. If you want social democracy look into the NDP in Canada they are truly social democrat.

Are you kidding me? Social classes are VERY prevalent. There are just more than the basic two or three (although some can be merged to create two or three umbrella classes). Are you under the impression that classes are "Teh evilz socialists!" invention? God, you are highly misinformed.

I am a moderate socialist. NO American politician has ever been elected to ANY major position of power being a moderate socialist. Moderate socialism wants the government to have control over the biggest corporations, and it wants the government to have MANY more social benefits. Yes, Observer was right, the closest too this is the NDP party. Yet they still are not true democratic socialists in my opinion. Obama does not have a past "showered with marxists", you do realize there are VERY little true marxists out there right? Please, refrain from saying Obama is socialist, frankly it just makes you look like a totally misinformed indoctrinated fool in front of socialists or communists or hell, anyone else with an ounce of common sense.

May I also point out that Obama is more conservative than European liberals.

The NDP are not democratic socialists they are social democrats they are different things.

The socialists gotta make their names more varied. Democratic Socialists and Social Democrats makes it too confusing.

From what I understand, when the party was founded, it was built around classical social democracy, which is basically democratic socialism/market socialism. They, like most old socialist parties, have gone more towards modern social democracy, which is basically heavily regulated capitalism with socialist-leaning social policies.

So what I mean to say is that for a large part of the parties existence, it was arguably socialist. I feel kind of wrong saying modern social democracy is either capitalist, or socialist though.

The NDP was founded by members of unions to be represented in the government. It was created form two parties the Canadian Labour Congress and the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation.

Well I have no idea exactly what the NDP's policy is considering I'm not Canadian. Its hard for me to get interested in our own politics, much less other countries!!!
