No taliban= mujhadeen(some of), al quadea is an international terroist organization, not limited to afghanistan contatining recruits from all around the world. And many of the fighters we trained and supplied did not side with the taliban or join al quaeda, ever here of the northern alliance?

We had plenty of reasons to go after Al Quada already. 9/11 was just the primer.

About the Soviet Union. FDR was on pretty good terms with Stalin. It was Truman who fucked up our relations with the USSR.

I think it was bound to happen anyway. We wanted different things. Tensions were going to rise, no matter what.

FDR was actually pretty good friends with Stalin. It was Churchill who did not get along with Stalin. When Truman took over, he basically listened to what Churchill stated about Stalin and distrusted him from the beginning. I think it was Truman who really started the Cold War.

About the plane hitting the pentagon, an eye witness said the plane came in, and its right wing hit the ground, and it spiraled into the Pentagon. It didn't just fly in straight into the building. And if an eyewitness could get that good of a view on it, then there is no way in hell it was a missile.

Ok here I go. I am going to try to explain how this all occurred...

The hijackers chose planes light on passengers who might interfere, but loaded with fuel for long flights (so when the plane hits, the fuel goes kaboom) The 767 could hold 24,000 gallons of fuel.

At 8:45 AM, American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767, hijacked en route from Boston to Los Angeles with 92 passengers on board, slams into the North Tower.

At 9:06 AM United Airlines Flight 175, also a Boeing 767, hijacked en route from Boston to Los Angeles with 65 passengers on board, banks hard, and slices through the south tower.

Now the North Tower was built in 1970, the south tower in 1972. They were made to withstand a plane almost half the size, with half the fuel going at half the speed. You could see why a giant 767 hitting the buildings going at nearly 600 miles per hour with 24,000 gallons of fuel would be a problem.

So Why Did They Collapse? Well, it is actually fairly simple. Each of the towers, more than 22 feet wide on each side, contained a central steel core surrounded by open office space. Eighteen inch steel tubes ran vertically along the outside, providing much of the support for the building. Once the plane damaged the central core, the weight was redistributed to the outer steel tubes, which were slowly deformed by the added weight and the heat of the fires.


The reason 7 World Trade center collapsed was because there was sooo much fire and debris, and it just could not handle it anymore.

And if Bush planned this, why was he informed after it hit while at a little kids school of the attack?

David Marra, 23 at the time, an informational technology specialist, had turned his BMW off n I-93 exit to the highway just west of the Pentagon when he saw an American Airlines jet swooping in, its wings wobbly, looking like it was going to slam right into the Pentagon "It was 50 feet off the deck when he came in. It sounded like the pilot had the throttle completely floored. The plane rolled left, and then rolled right. Then he caught an edge of his wing on the ground". There was a helicopter pad right in front of the side of the Pentagon. The wing touched there, then cartwheeled into the building.

And for the plane that crashed in the field in PA, At 9:58, the Westmoreland County emergency-operations center, 35 miles Southeast of Pittsburgh, received a frantic cell-phone call from a man who said he was locked in the restroom aboard United Flight 93. Glenn Carter, the dispatch supervisor, said the man was distraught and kept repeating "We are being hijacked! We are being hijacked!" He also said this was not a hoax, and that the plane "was going down." said Cramer:"He heard some sort of explosion and saw white smoke coming from the plane. Then we lost contact with him",

40 miles further down the new flight path of the plane, in rural Somerset County, Terry Butler, 40, was pulling the radiator from a gray 1992 Dodge Caravan at the junkyard where he worked at the time. He had been wathing the , news and knew all the flights were supposed to be grounded. He was stunned when he looked up in the sky and saw Flight 93 cutting through the lingering morning fog. "It was moving like you woldn't believe" he said. The rogue plane soared over woodland, cattle pastures and cornfields as it passed over Kelly Leverknight's home. She too was watching the news. Her husband, on his regular tour of duty with the Air National Guard's 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, West Virginia, had just called to reassure his wife that his base was still opening normally when she heard the plane rush by. "It was headed toward the school," she said. The school where her 3 children were. Had Flight 93 stayed aloft a few seconds longer, it would have plowed into the Shanksville-Stonycreek School and its 501 students, grades k-12

I know, I was just saying that it couldn't last. Eventually, we would clash on issues, as we wanted different things. Like Korea, for example.
